A few months ago, I bought a couple of these bottles from a local restaurant supply store, and have been very impressed with them. I make water kefir, and have found these bottles to be the perfect container to store my finished kefir in because the inside of the lid is completely lined with a thin plastic coating, so no metal is exposed, and therefore it doesn't rust. In the past, because of the acidic nature of kefir, I was storing it in glass milk bottles with rubber snap-on lids, but the lids weren't airtight, so my kefir would lose its carbonation. If I stored it in anything with a screw-on lid, the metal on the lid would start to rust when even the smallest amount of kefir would inevitably come in contact with it. These Bormioli bottles have given me the best of all worlds: a one-piece airtight lid that doesn't rust, to go with a tall, slender, well-made rustic glass bottle.

I absolutely adore these bottles. I keep popcorn kernels in one by the stove, and the bottle keeps them fresh and easily accessible. I also used these bottles to make homemade milk bath for Christmas gifts. They're sturdy and beautiful, and will probably last a lifetime.

I haven't actually done any preserving in these, but you could and I probably will in the future. I've used these lids before and they seal well.

I've used this bottle every day, since I received it. It is sturdy and well made without being too heavy. It pours easily and is easy to wash. I use it for water or ice tea. The wide mouth is an added convenience. You can make the tea right in the bottle. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was looking all over for the right size and type of glass bottle. I found it !!! Great filled with your choice of whatever you choose for a great presentation. Perfect !!

These glass bottles are perfect for work or home and store almost a quart of water or other beverage. The wider mouth make them perfect to drink directly from, and you can easily keep track of your water consumption. I know they're originally made for canning, but everyone tries to keep hydrated, and these bottles are convenient and attractive.

Love the bottles! My only complaint.... I need more lids and they are difficult to find. I would love to have plastic reusable lids like the plastic storage caps for Ball Jars. I don't much like plastic but as a lid that would not be a problem. They arrived well packed and unbroken. They are big and a bit heavy so use caution when using as a drink bottle. I enjoy the clear taste I get when I drink water from them. Unless you have MEGA cup holders in your car, they will not fit. I did not expect them to! They do have a wide opening.... but again, I knew this when I got them. I like that fact because it makes cleaning them much easier. They do take some practice if you are going to use them as a drink bottle. Awesome Bottle, Excellent quality!

These are great bottles. We store juice, lemonade, and simple syrup in the refrigerator using these. Additional lids can be purchased.

These bottles are beautiful and well worth the money. They are very heavy. I made herbed vinegar to put in these bottles. Fabulous.

This is a high quality product. The jars are much larger than I expected so take that into consideration when you order them. I give them five stars due to the nice decoration on the jars and that they are very sturdy.

Two of these shattered in the freezer. I used them to store and freeze soup, and none survived!

Maybe I should have left more room for contents of the bottle to expand.. not sure what the problem was.
