Independently researched cases featured in Born Again include those of Police Captain Robert Snow, Fire Chief Jeff Keene, neurosurgeon Norm Shealy and US Diplomat Wayne Peterson. Cases derived through Kevin Ryerson, a trance medium featured in Shirley MacLaine's books, including Out on a Limb, are also presented. A very important case featured in Born Again involves Anne Frank, who was persecuted as a Jew in the Holocaust, and who has reincarnated into a Christian family. This case demonstrates how violence and war based on differences in religious or ethnic affiliation is groundless. The reincarnation case of Pablo Picasso, who has been reborn as Alexandra Nechita, who started to create Picasso like art at the age of four, shows how reincarnation can explain child prodigies. In the reincarnation case of Paul Gauguin, Peter Teekamp unconsciously replicated Gauguin's artistic development as a young man. Laurel & Hardy, who have reincarnated as Josh and Danny Bacher, are once again a gifted comedy team. The reincarnation case involving William Shakespeare demonstrates how writing talent can be preserved across incarnations. US celebrity cases include Oprah, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman and Steven Spielberg. Past lives of Indian movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha are presented. Political cases include past lives of George W. Bush, Ralph Nader, Indira Gandhi, Nehru, Benazir Bhutto and Abdul Kalam. Past lives of spiritual teachers, such as Neale Donald Walsch and Wayne Dyer are discussed.

The work has been put together after considerable research and interviews...It is naturally upsetting, agrees Semkiw for people to see a theory they never had had to bother with until now, suddenly backed up by empiric evidence. About the Author

Walter Semkiw, MD is a Board Certified physician, former corporate medical director and assistant department chief, who practices in San Francisco. "Born Again" is a book that gives the reader an excellent and easy to understand introduction into reincarnation - its principles, different types of research, evidence and impacts on society and religion - before the author presents his own independently researched reincarnation cases.

I very much like Dr Semkiw's statement at the beginning of his book, "I believe that knowledge of the mechanism of reincarnation will help humanity evolve from a tribal mentality, in which we identify with one particular religious, ethnic, racial or nationalistic group, to the stage of the Universal Human. As a Universal Human, one understands and respects many cultures, but does not align one's self with any one denomination" as it sets the stage for his approach and gives his core reason to proof and educate the public on the existence of reincarnation.

The overview of reincarnation in relation to different religions is also very helpful as it emphasizes the importance of this topic on a global level.

What I find really intriguing are the principles of reincarnation that Dr Semkiw is presenting and using to proof his researched cases:
1) Physical appearance (especially facial architecture);
2) Personality traits;
3) Writing style;
4) Karmic soul groups;
5) Past-life symbols, synchronistic events, and anniversary phenomena;
6) Attraction to specific geographic locations;
7) Memories.

Dr Semkiw is using these 7 principles when analyzing and presenting his researched cases. Especially impressive to me are the photos and pictures of all the people researched and their previous incarnations - you start wondering if the same is true for you ..... !!!!

"Born Again" is an enlightening book that gives the reader a lot of food for thought - about him/herself, society, the world, the meaning of life and death, the principles, impacts and mechanism of reincarnation, karma and dharma.

I hope Dr Semkiw will continue his research into the realm of meta-science and share his discoveries and conclusions again with the world!

This will be just a short review to say that this truly is a brilliant book. It is written in an academic manner with plenty of supporting evidence and research. Nothing is made up or fictional, it is all supported by well research evidence and the book was written by an obviously very intelligencet and extradionary read author.

Books like these can help change humanity and better it. It's simple if reincarnation is true, we will have to take responsibility in this lifetime in order to make a better world, not for our children or grandchildren, but ironically the most important people to us: ourselves.

Global warming, pollution, crime...reincarnation will have impact on it all and much much more. Would you torture if you knew in the next lifetime you would be tortured? Would you hate, knowing next time you may be the one detested?

It is a simple notion of heaven and hell, but introduced in a completely different and most importantly realistic fashion.

If anything is worth a read in this lifetime, 'tis this book in and many others, same topic related books, whether personal or academic will simply depend on your level of interest.

Whether or not you accept the idea of reincarnation, this is a
book well worth your time to read. The comparisons are
interesting and believable. This book is filled with
research and logic. Bravo to the author and all those
