Level 3 flow is WAY TOO FAST,
By
This review is from: Born Free Stage 3 Silicone Nipples- Twin Pack (Baby Product)
My son is turning 1 in two weeks and he still hasn't accepted the level 3 nipples yet. The level 2's take too long to feed but the level 3 has super fast flow. basically, when you turn the bottle upside down, milk flows out like an open faucet. my son would suck once then spit the milk and nipple back out. i tried fighting with him to force him a little bit.. hoping that he would get used to it soon. every time the fight just gets worse... when he pushes the bottle away and squeezes the nipple, milk just gets splashed everywhere... half the milk gets lost and half remains in the bottle.. he ends up not having any...
i started trying the switch when he was six months, every time it didn't work, i wait a few weeks. now he's almost turning 1. can there be a less drastic change on the flow between levels 2 and 3? i'm tempted to switch him to a sippy cup instead of the level 3s... very frustrating.

I switched to these from Avent with no problems. So far I like these better. My son didn't want to switch to the Stage 3 until he was almost 8 months old - so I'd try them out before I plunged.

best bottle we've found,
This review is from: Born Free Stage 3 Silicone Nipples- Twin Pack (Baby Product)
after buying other bottles for our baby, i've finally found one that we love. It was hard trying to find one that reduced gas and colic as well as a nipple she could latch well and where a thicker formula ( for her reflux) could pass through at the right flow with out gagging her or clogging. These bottles have a special valve to reduce gas, like doctor brown's, but are easier to clean, and the stage three nipples, which she latches perfect, allows her cereal to flow through with out a fuss. This is definitely a good quality bottle and what is also great it that it's bisphenol-free!!!

These flow faster than I expected. My son is a faster eater but at 7 months this is too fast even for him. My wife hates using it. When my son is really hungry he can manage to drink with these nipples, but he can choke if you are not careful using this.

Great flow for my 6 month olds,

My baby girls JUST turned 6 months old literally this week. We were needing to change our new nipples out anyway so we decided to try them on the stage 3 nipples. They had no problem whatsoever. The flow seems to be just right for the and it cuts feeding time down so much! They can finish their 6 oz in 10 min. which is great for mom and dad since they don't have holding their own bottles down just yet. All babies are different but for us they worked just great.

Alright first time mom here. I didn't completely understand the different stages of the nipples. We added some rice to the bottle and it would not come out fast enough for our baby. We tried the Y-Cut but this was horrible. The stage 3 works perfectly for getting the formula/rice mix out at the same rate as the Stage 2 did for formula.

Great nipples for 6 month old. It took a few attempts to get him use to the transition for the stage 2 nipple, but once he got the hang of it, he was sucking down the milk in no time.

I switched from using Avent bottles to the Born Free bottles when my daughter was just a few months old. She took to them without a hitch and has been using them when she's not nursing ever since!

Bought the Stage 3 nipples to go with the bottles for my 6-month old son and love these bottles! He is a breastfed baby most of the time, but having safe bottles to use when we need them gives me peace of mind!
