My daughter is 5 months old and I started using these nipples approximately one month ago when I ordered the Born Free bottles. The bottles came with stage one nipples, so I ordered these because I thought the stage one flow probably would have been too slow for her. (If you are ordering these for a newborn I think the stage one would be perfect!)They are similar to the Dr. Brown's wide mouth nipples and she does very well with them. The flow seems to work well for her, although I may switch to stage 3 in the next several months. I highly recommend these nipples!

We have used Born Free glass bottles (with stage 1 nipples) in addition to breastfeeding since our baby was 2 weeks old. At 19 weeks of age, it was time to switch to the stage 2 nipples (as our baby wanted to eat at a faster pace). He still has no problem going back and forth between the breast and these bottles. Both stages of nipples, as well as the glass bottles themselves with the ventilation system, have worked excellently with our baby at all stages of development. The bottles themselves, as well as the ventilation pieces and nipples are easy to clean and sterilize by placing them on the top shelf of the dishwasher. We have 5 bottles, 4 nipples, and rotate thru them. They never harbor that plasticy-bacteria smell that other plastic bottles/nipples get and we rest assured knowing that Born Free makes top quality toxin-free products.

Perfect flow speed - we found Stage 1 too slow even when baby was a newborn. Well made and good to know they're BPA-free.

We used the stage 1 nipples for the first three months. I didn't understand when to change the nipples. Our daughter started sucking so hard on the nipple that it would flatten in her mouth. We then moved up to the stage 2 and solved all the problems. We use the stage 3 for bottle with rice mixed in.

My breast feeding baby preferred this bottle over Dr. Brown's and I've been pleased with quality. I have found the nipples to be sturdy and have not had discoloration issues as described by one reviewer. I was trying to get buy with a generic brush and when I sprung for the Born Free brush cleaning became quick and easy work. I love this line of products.

We used Borne Free bottles and nipples with our first son and loved the quality of the silicone nipples. So we are using Borne Free again with our second son. We also like the fact that there are different nipples with different flow rates available. Both of our sons had mild reflux and our pediatrician recommended putting a small amount of rice cereal in their bottles, to slightly thicken their formula. Both of our sons had reflux shortly after birth and until about 4-6 months of age. Our second son is now almost three months old and we just started putting cereal into his formula bottles. We like the fact that we can use the "Stage 2" nipples that have a slightly faster flow rate to allow him to suck the milk and cereal mixture through the nipple without having to overwork the nipple to get the formula through it. Also, the venting on the bottles allow for less air to be sucked in by the baby during feeding, thus less gas. Yes, Borne Free is a bit more expensive than other bottle/nipple systems, but we also think the quality of Borne Free is much better. We have never had a bottle leak on us with the silicone and plastic vents inserted into the bottles!

I have born free stage 1 nipples that came with the bottles, and these seem even softer, which i thought was strange. It's not a good thing or a bad thing though, just an observation. These nipples are great for my 15 week old. I noticed he was getting fussy while eating, and I think he wasn't getting milk out fast enough. Ever since he's used these, he finishes his bottle in half the time it used to take, and he's happier!

I changed from Avent bottle to Born Free after the BPA scare. The bottles have never leaked for me and my daughter switched over with no problem. I love Born Free and continue to sing their praises!!!

I had no trouble converting my daughter from breast to bottle. They're very natural in texture and shape.

It's a gift for my sister. She is gonna give birth to a baby in a month. But it's looks perfact to me.
