I am so lucky to have cut across the literary tracks of Dwight Van Burnt on his first book. The vivid descriptions of his world class large animal hunts creates an almost virtual reality of being there with him during the weather conditions and stalks.I was rivetted to say the least and felt the need to cinch up my boots and have my rifle by my side. I never really considered hunting Alaska and Africa before but now I am beginning to plan these hunts so I too can experience first hand the thrilling moments he describes so well. Can't wait to read his next publication. Boddington and others have nothing on this gifted author.

I purchased this book for my husband for Christmas and he couldn't put it down. Not only was it a great hunting book but it also included wonderful stories about the author growning up and included stories of his family. Well worth the money. Thanks!

This book is a compelling account of the fulfillment of a man's dreams across his lifespan and three continents. Born a hunter takes you to hunting camp in a way no other book will.
