You may have heard of Fatal but have you heard Fatal yet???,
This review is from: Born Legendary (Audio CD)
Hussein Fatal was a memeber of 2 Pac's group "The Outlaws" He left the group after the death of Pac b/c they chose to sign a recording deal with Death Row records which Pac had told them never to do. He felt the remaining group members were being disloyal. He appeared on Jarule's 2003 album "blood in my eye" he was on 4 tracks and rumored to be signed to Murder Inc records, this was false he met Jarule before he blew up then Fatal served jail time and when he got out he helped him out on that album. Now with this 2009 release "Born Legendary" he gets a chance to display his solo talent and that he does. I think his lyrics are sharp and the production is nice also making this a classic rap album but the world may never know. I never saw the cd in any store and the actual cd is not even available on amazon. I found the mp3 download for $5.99 on I-Tunes and burned it to a cd myself and I listen to it nonstop. As soon as the physical product is available I will purchase b/c this is a must have album. He also has 2 other "solo" albums by the name "Fatal" the cd's are called "In the line of fire" and "Fatal" also has a duo album with fellow Outlaw artist Young Noble called "Thug in thug out". He is also on 2Pac albums. He was also a member of what was going to be the original group called murder inc consisting of Fatal, Jay Z, DMX and Jarule.

Hussein Fatal, formerly of the Outlawz, returns with his 3rd solo album, and another good 4 star effort. His 1998 debut, "In The Line of Fire" is about equal with this one, and his self titled, late 2002 release is my favorite of his 3 solo's and worth 4.5 stars. He was also a part of the 2Pac + Outlawz, 4.5 star "Still I Rise" album from late 1999 (he was on 5 of the songs), and had an album with fellow outlaw member Young Noble come out in 2007, "Thug in Thug Out" (also worth 4.5 stars), and has a few mixtapes over the last few years. As always you're gonna get some nicely spit street, fiery, and angry lyrics from Fatal. This one has 15 songs (3 of them have verses that he used on songs from his album with Young Noble), 12 are good and 3 are ok. Guests are on 3 of the 15 songs so you do get to hear a lot of Hussein Fatal on this one. Production is nice as well. SC, Drone, and Choir Boy each do 3, Young Roc does 2, Jack B, Cosmo, Ozone each do 1. A nice album for fans of the Outlawz to get a hold of.
#1 - 8.5 (has verses he used on his album with Young Noble) #2 - 8 #3 - 9 #4 - 7 #5 - 7 #6 - 8.5 #7 - 8.5 (f/ QU Gangsta) #8 - 8 (f/ Jim Jones) #9 - 9 (f/ Killa Black & Slim - nice beat) #10 - 8.5 (nice beat, verses are edited) #11 - 9 (nice style of rapping about himself like it's haters actually rapping) #12 - 7.5 #13 - 8 (has verses he used on his album with Young Noble) #14 - 8.5 (has verses he used on his album with Young Noble) #15 - 9 (deeper more personal song) Bruce Washington -- Montclair, NJ Check all my reviews

Decent effort by Fatal,

Fatal's long awaited album "Born Legendary" was released with little fanfare. It is a decent album that features nice production and Fatal's seductive hooks. My favorite track is Blocka, Blocka.
Fatal's best work to date since 2pac's death has to be the Hardtimerz album. Check it out: 1090 Official |
