Folks, it's one of the best synth albums of all time and Neuropa just keeps rolling on with their new album Born. Don't miss out on this one of a kind album.

Standing Still in Time is a pop gem and We Are is similar to early The Human League's"Toyota City" of being electronic instrumental.Meaningful lyrics and great tunes that you can sing along to.I would say this c.d. has an early 80's vibe, but brought up to date.Once again,a solid dance cd.Excellent!

I have had this CD in my car stereo all week long. Its a testament to this group that I haven't removed it yet. Following up on their release "Beyond Here and Now", Neuropa deliver another very intriguing album. The songs are mostly in the vein of their older music, with new twists thrown in. Going from poppy to slower to instrumentals there isn't a filler track on this album. I especially like the songs "There for You", "A Better Place", "Nothing Left to Lose". The lyrics on those songs are really meaningful and the guitars add a nice backdrop to the electronics. The electronics on "A Better Place" are really catchy and infectious. As always with Neuropa's music the vocals are the strong point of the album. The vocals are all superbly done and fit well with the music. Do yourself a favor and check out this awesome new synthpop album. You won't regret it.

Neuropa may boast influences such as the Pet Shop Boys and Erasure, but you sure wouldn't know it by listening to this album. Sounds to me like they were more influenced by the Backstreet Boys and Savage Garden. The music is ultra cheesy. Not once at any point in time did I ever think Erasure. Maybe lyrically, but then again lyrics have never been a strong point for Erasure. Take away all the charisma of Andy Bell, the lyric genius and wit of the Pet Shop Boys, and any edge whatsoever, replace that with a frontman more suitable for American Idol competition, and you have Neuropa. Nothing stands out about this album at all. It's way too slick sounding and over-procuced. Very typical of just about every band on A Different Drum's label. If you like the sounds of Intuition, Iris and the Echoing Green, you'll probably like this, however I need something with a little more substance. I will say that this is a step in the right direction compared to most bands flooding today's synth rock scene, but nowhere near the caliber of the Pet Shop Boys. Not even close.
