An eclectic view of Laugh Out Loud Funny,
By Rick Arnold (Colorado Springs, CO, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Born Pissed (Paperback)
Tom Waters has put together a wide range of essays that keep you wanting to hurry to the next chapter for more laughs. His ascerbic wit and satire are great. If you like to read before going to bed... don't as you will want to get to the next chapter, and the next. With topics like Frat Pack, Occupationally Impaired, Lovelorn Confessional, Bald Freaks, No Two Flakes, Mrs. Bush Goes to Washington, Competing With The Expresso Machine. Excellent Read! Great gift for that realative in college.

Decent rapid-fire satire and essays.....,
By Michael (Atlanta, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Born Pissed (Paperback)
I am from Western NY originally and have read Tom's essays for the past 10 years. They are always worthwhile reading if you are looking for a fun diversion or a bit of local Buffalo flavor. Whenever life has gotten too serious, Tom's writing can be a good humor-injection to whatever is troubling you. Of course, I am speaking strictly from the male persuasion. Given Tom's age, this book is probably only for the 30 and under crowd...those a bit older may lose patience with it, although I would say go for it if you have an open mind. |
