Introduced to these artists at a Lowen & Navarro concert, I was pleasantly surprised to hear such well-performed and conceived vocal harmonies. If you enjoy multi-part vocals by such artists as Restless Heart, The Little River Band, The Eagles, or Lowen & Navarro themselves, you will like this group's work on this album and their most recent, "Spin Art."

When I heared the Lennon boys for the first time on Dutch Television (2-meter Sessie) I was astonished that in this modern time 4 people can make such timeless music. After this broadcast I bought the CD immediately. I play this CD a lot in my car and at home. Even my youngest son (6 year) says about "running home" - "this is my song". I hope that Venice will give a concert in Holland again (they only did so once, but at that time I had never heared of them). I'm looking forward for their new CD.

The only reason that I do not give this CD five stars is because I am very particular about what I give a "perfect" rating to. If there was a four and 1/2, I would give it.

The harmonies are to die for.....the Eagles with soulful lyrics. I have had this CD for two days and have played "Never Coming Back" and "Running Home" a dozen times apiece. They are spectacular songs that are in a league of their own.

It's funny how the more I listen to this thing (listening to it now), the more I enjoy it. I guess that's true for many of the great CDs.

I like it, in a strange way, the way I like Jeff Buckley "Grace", Wilco "Summerteeth", and Beck "Odelay"...I discover something new to enjoy at each replay.

This is one of those bands that I get very selfish about. I wish for their sakes that they achieve great success, but I like that I am one of the few that knows their talent and can keep them to myself. that's how I felt about John Hiatt ten years ago.

Despite this, buy this CD. Play "Never Coming Back" about 20 times, then try to tell me something better that has been produced int he last five years (Beck doesn't count).

This is a great Cd, This type of music I can play over and over, and never get tired of it. We listen to it in the office and it makes the day go by so quickly. It helps us look forward to the real life outside the corpoate walls. This music has brought a group of people together with a common interet in remembering and enjoying the words and thoughts in each song..... Each one of us have had our favorite song, but now their all our favorite. Give your self a fresh look at real life, placed into songs and go get this CD. See you at the Galaxy in September!

Putting words and music together is to me a rare and wonderful talent that few possess. Add to that masters of four part harmony and you have Venice and Born & Raised. This is a classic if ever there was one. "Bad Timing Song" and "Babys Calling" are two of my favorites, but I think "If I Were You" and "We're Still Here" will be the classics off this CD. The Lennons and Co. know how to conjur up feelings and emotions with every song they have included here. I don't know why it has taken me so long to discover this band but I am glad I have finally found them. You'll find acoustic and electric tunes, fast and slow, fun and soulful, but most of all the beauty of great harmonies that only Venice can produce. What a treat for the listener. I can't wait for the new CD. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE

If you haven't heard Venice before, hold on to your hats because you're in for a real treat! The vocal harmonies of Kipp, Pat, Mark and Michael Lennon blend so beautifully, they almost hypnotize. Each song on Born & Raised is better than the last, and when you've heard them all, you're left wanting more. "If I Were You" and "Bad Timing Song" show off the talent of the group. "We're Still Here", the beauty of their harmonies and "For A Kiss" the fun. I hear a new Venice CD comes out sometime soon and I will definately buy a few copies for me and as gifts for friends. I urge you to do the same, because once word gets out they will be hard to stock.

I can't recommend this CD enough, once you've heard Venice you'll be hooked and to see them live is magic. There was Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Eagles and America. Now it's time for Venice!!

Absolutely THE BEST album to come out this decade. Incredible talent and harmonies that seem as effortless as breathing. Venice has proven themselves to be one of the bands that will surely come up when someone says "Hey, remember the 90's?" Buy this! It's the only thing I'm giving as a Christmas gift this year. (And as I hear it, there will be a new CD to give out next year as well!)

Each song is written with superb detail and harmonious tones. David Crosby is absolutely right when he says that Venice is the best band in America. These guys know what real music is and sing every song from the heart. It's about time a group like Venice comes along.

I had never heard of this group before I bought this CD. I bought it only because of the reviews I read. I love it. My wife loves it and she rarely makes comments about the music I buy.Great songs,beautiful harmony,I`ve listened to it every day for two weeks and I still want to hear it again. Highly recommended.

As a musician, and a fan of soulful rock this band "Venice" tops my list. When I listen to their music, I'm hearing, NOT a manufactured sound but a Band with real experiences, heart felt love and pain and the rewards of being true to yourself. Venice don't EVER stop making music Your right up there with the best!
