I was expecting a much more technical book about barefoot running. To my great pleasure, this has been a wonderful story that sneaks in a few points about barefoot running here and there.

This book is raw and motivational, leaving nothing flowery or false in its pathway. I have run for decades, but this breathes new life into me. A great book for all of us who call ourselves "runners." Cris Richardson

I have recently picked up long distance running (25+ miles a week) and this book was just the thing I was wanting to read to stay encouraged. Would recommend to anyone wanting either a great story or in need of some motivation to get back to our running man roots.

I thought this book was a great take on a growing industry and popular sport. Although you have a read it with a grain of salt, I found it to be an easy and interesting read and provided some insight into running that could be eye opening. I think this book does a good job of highlight the simplicity and humanity of running- by exploring the history of the sport and the people who have been doing it for ages. This book should be applicable to anyone who has an interest in running- as a cross country runner, a marathoner, a stay at home mom, or as a casual jogger.

I guess it is a good book, but after reading it for a couple of weeks I lost all the appeal for it... So I wouldn't recommend it...

An excellent book - gripping and transformative. I'd recommend "Born to Run" to runners and non-runners alike; there's something for everyone here... but if you're a runner, it's an absolute must.

This is a beautiful story of one man researching running. Then falling in love with the art of running rather than the competitive sport.
