It's a saga about Jenny who takes on the care of her employers child thru hardship and rarely happiness. And the relationship between Claudia and Jenny makes you want to jump inside the book and rescue Jenny and the child. Reading the book does have some faults some of the things Claudia does to Jenny let alone the child makes you think who in the world world ever stay in such a household (but only if you read the book will you understand).
