I applaud this author for his first book and hope that he takes to heart and practice the feedback in reviews and looks for the "complement" of his work and goals and not just a compliment.

"Born to be Rich" is an easy read for two reasons: 1. The author is a skilled presenter with the written word. Audiences can easily track the fluidity of his "spoken" written word and 2. The material is very familiar and similar to what I have read or heard before in other books and seminars on the area of personal and professional development.

The author wrote: "I am writing in one book what I had to read many books to learn and then compile. How do you put all of the success books together to become the nicest, wealthiest, healthiest, and happiest man that ever lived? "Page 78

A part of me wishes the author had not created a book trying to get other's best ideas into one place as his own! I positively believe that this author has a message waiting to be heard by the masses AFTER he stops utilizing and repeating what others have already said.

The author said, "Most people are parrots. They echo and repeat what they hear others say, and they say it so often that they eventually believe they thought of it and came to that conclusion on their own." Page 56

Unfortunately, this book is full of the author doing exactly what he chided his reader not to do. On nearly every page are quotes already attributable to others. The lion's share of the chapter summary statements or "reflections on the riches of this Chapter" are quotes, principles or material from other's work. It is essential to ensure that work is properly credited and cited. Attribution is due especially when quoting scripture verses and well known quotes by notable authors and speakers.

As I do with a lot of purchases, I browsed through this book in a bookstore, then ordered it from Amazon. In my brief scan, I could tell it contained some nuggets worth ingesting. This is not a long book- it's a short read, but Mr. Roberts quickly hits every nail on the head. I do wish he had expanded even more on some of the topics, but keeping it short will make it easy to read again and again, for the things he tells you must be learned and practiced and become habits, and that does not not come without repetition. Reinventing yourself (if you have to go that far..and most of us do) takes more than a quick read of the rules and just saying, "Okay, now I'll do that
My editor eye couldn't help but notice a few typos but I was able to dismiss them and focus on the good information.
One word of warning, the author uses the "D" word and the "C" word....discipline and commitment.
