Editorial Reviews

Review
"Born Without a Tail captures the real scenario of those people who simply find it impossible to turn away, or say no to, a stray or an animal in need of human intervention and love. Wulff writes with an imagery that is easily visualized by the reader. Anyone who enjoys animals in the least will appreciate Wulff's adventures with these four-legged creatures." -- Brecksville Magazine

"If you [also] love animals, I can guarantee you will adore this gem. The love Cayr and her friend, Dalene, have for these animals is clearly portrayed in this moving yet uplifting book. They are animal lovers with big hearts for not only domestic animals but for the waifs and strays too. I couldn't put this one down. I thought it was an absolutely brilliant book, especially as I myself share the same passions as the author and her "life mate" have for animals.

This is a tale that will appeal to animal lovers and perhaps children too." -- Bookpleasures.com

4.0 out of 5 stars Animal Lover, February 25, 2008
If you are an animal lover, this is a wonderful read, just for you! It's full of dog and cat stories that are both inspiring and funny. If you have shared your life with dogs and or cats, there will be at least one story here that you have experienced with your companion animal. All that said, it was also thought provoking around the issues of rescue and euthanasia. I hope Dillon's mom writes more about her animal companions!

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiring book...., January 5, 2008
I read this book in one day because I simply could not put it down. It was a treat to read about Cayr's childhood with animals and her life of rescuing animals of all sorts. Her dog Dillon lived to be twenty, which is such a testament to the love and care he received throughout his life in this warm and wonderful family. This is a book I will read again and share with others!

5.0 out of 5 stars BORN WITHOUT A TAIL, October 1, 2007
By Marse (Los Angeles, CA, USA) - See all my reviews
An energetic page-turner that catches the reader by surprise. What seems, at first, to be a simple memoir about pets becomes an astounding love story about commitment and responsibility in the face of insurmountable obstacles. Ironically, Cayr Ariel Wulff's riveting adventures with animals - some hilarious, some heartbreaking - become lessons in what it means to be truly human.
