About the Author

SUSIE ARNETT came up with the idea for Born Yogis while watching her son, Ely, naturally do different yoga poses as he was growing up. Prior to becoming Ely’s mom, she was a television producer and development executive in New York and Los Angeles, where she worked for MTV, Lifetime, and Warner Brothers. She lives in California.

DOUG KIM is a documentary and fine art photographer whose work has appeared in the Hollywood Reporter, Fortune, How, and Metrodotpop magazines. His work has appeared in numerous group shows, and he had his first solo exhibit this year in Los Angeles, where he lives.

I LOVED the photos. I loved the size. It doesn't take up too much room, and it is fun to look at. I think it would be a GREAT baby gift for the Yoga Loving Mom.

If you're wondering whether your baby is too young for yoga,
this book will show you that they've already started working
out.

"Born Yogis" illustrates in pictures and text that babies and
their instinctive body movements keep them in such good shape.

Babies think and act intuitively to keep their bodies and minds
limber. They move and stretch their tiny limbs and muscles
constantly, without awareness. In doing so, they are the
foremost yoga practitioners.

"Born Yogis" demonstrates this - it is proof in the sense that
a picture is worth a thousand words."

Reading the book, I can almost hear the giggling, and shouting,
and the happy baby noises that go with their happy yoga positions.

Babies are born multi-taskers. And, they don't need instruction
manuals to do yoga. They just do it.

The beauty of this book is that it captures the spirit of baby
yogis so beautifully. When you look at the pictures, and
accompanying passages, you may want to try out some yoga
postures yourself.

I recommend this book very highly to Moms who want to understand
and improve their babies movements. This is the book to read.
It is a beautiful book for both Moms and Grand Moms.

I loved the photographs in this book. Interesting descriptions of the yoga poses and their names and I was drawn to each photo and to the next and to the next. Great gift and coffee table book, you are captivated by the babies every time you turn the page.
