I bought this on the strength of the review in Gramophone Good CD Guide 1999 and wasn't disappointed. The music is excellent, for the genre, and Leiferkus gives a wonderful performance - the only one of these songs currently available.
Playing time 63'14. Texts in romanized Russian not Cyrillic, which is a little offputting for those who read Russian but is better than nothing, which is more common with western record companies' treatment of Russian vocal music, and also translations in English, French and German.
