A Hungarian In Love, October 23, 2009
This review is from: Borrowed Girl (Harlequin Romance, No. 2604) (Paperback)
Krista Ewing works for her Aunt Diana Lady James, she is a wan'a'be singer, who missed her chance by a ton, but it doesn't stop her from telling others how good she could sing before she gave it up to Lord Colin James.
Although Krista knows this isn't true, she loves her aunt and never tells others that her aunt couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
Because Lady James is a part of the well-to-do people that support music she gets Hungarian Conductor, Ludovic Hasek to come to there small town.
Krista has lived with her Aunt since she was 17 and her Uncle Colin took her in after the death of her parents.
Now at 23, Ludovic tells Krista she should leave "the old trout" her aunt and run away with him.
When Krista declines this offer, he talks to Lady James and hey-presto, she insists that Krista help out by replacing Ludovic's secretary.
Soon she is going on a concert tour, and finds it very exciting.
Until she goes to France and meets Contesse du Boulet, who happens to want to become Mrs Ludovic Hasek.
From the back of the book: 'Could his jet-set life ever include Krista?
Krista's aunt had been gracious enough to let the brilliant and world-famous conductor Ludovic Hasek "borrow" Krista as his secretary on an upcoming concert tour.
Ludovic's exciting world fascinated Krista, and his music thrilled audiences wherever they went.
Krista's feelings for the intense, romantic Hungarian confused her-was it just professional admiration, she wondered, or something more? and what were Ludovic's true feelings for her? The beauitful Comtesse du Boulet was wondering the same things and wasted no time trying to get rid of Krista!
