Book Description

August 2003
The Borrowing Money Guide, A "How-To" Book for Consumers, is an easy to read, step-by-step book that was written as a reference guide for a variety of borrowing and credit situations to be used throughout your "borrowing money" life. The purpose of this book is to give you unbiased information about borrowing money and an understanding of the processes involved, which will help you get the right loan for your individual credit situation. This book will also help you to avoid costly credit mistakes and show you how to protect one of your most prized assets, your credit. The Borrowing Money Guide will also prove to be very useful for teaching young people the importance of building good credit, educating them on how to borrow money, and helping them to become responsible consumers. The book is arranged in six sections to match your specific borrowing or credit need: Buying your first house, Refinancing your mortgage, Getting an equity loan (second mortgage), Understanding consumer loans, Handling common credit issues (establishing credit, cosigning, divorce & credit, bankruptcy & credit, money problems), and Coping with credit fraud and identity theft. Everyone can benefit from the great tips provided in this book! It makes a great gift for graduation, wedding, house warming, or as a caring holiday gift!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wished I read it sooner!, November 2, 2003
This review is from: The Borrowing Money Guide: A "How-To" Book for Consumers (Paperback)
As a young couple, this book is a valuable asset. It helped us establish ourselves and create long-term goals for our future with our new home and home equity options. This is the first book review I have written, and was motivated to do so because this book saved me time, money and needless worrying about whether we were making smart choices.

I found this book to be a great resource to anyone looking to borrow money for their 1st house or any subsequent houses. This book does a great job of laying the groundwork for all the factors that should be considered when borrowing money and helping you make a smart decision about it. I highly recommend it.
