Great Drill, wrong specs,

This review is from: Bosch 1194VSRK 1/2-Inch Variable-Speed Hammerdrill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I needed this drill to make 3/4" holes in a 16" thick rebar'd concrete wall to run water pipe. so far, not a single hiccup. only thing i fault is that the description says 8.5 amps when the drill, by the ratings on the drill itself and the Bosch website are only 6.0amps. other than that, nice drill

I picked a reconditioned one up at a local hardware store(7-corners, the KING of all hardware with the largest tool selectionin the world) What a great value. I've used the milwaukee hammer drill, and it is a little shorter and easier to use, but I am really a moderate user - not a contractor, just a hard-core DIY-er. This is a great value over the milwaukee (which I've used), although the milwaukee is the standard by which I judge. Hence the four stars. I have a bosch 3/8 drill and a bosch planer, and have had a bosch cordless drill. They all perform wonderfully. Overall - a good value, quality name and construction, nice case, good for serious hammer drilling as well as all-purpose 1/2 drill work.

Great Drill.... Buy It!,

There are many corded drills out there to choose from but you can't go wrong with this one. Here's a very solid, powerful machine which has stood the test of time both in my own work and in the market, and which continues to be a great buy at only $160. It's been a workhorse for me both as a hammer drill and in timber framing, driving large bits through thick timbers with no trouble. The auxiliary handle and the depth gauge are simple, strong, and easy to use. I only use a different drill when I need to do right-angle work. You can feel safe buying this quality Bosch tool.
