Dynamic Torque with Variable Speed Trigger for Control
The impact driver's robust motor and all-metal gears deliver 2,800 rpm or 3,200 bpm for fast results. For driving force, its hammer and anvil system produces 1,500 in./lbs. (125 ft./lbs.) of dynamic torque. Thanks to a variable speed trigger, it's easy to match the correct speed to the job.
Compact, Lightweight Body for Easy Handling
All this power comes in a lightweight package that fits into tight corners and won't overtax arm or hand muscles. At 5.7 inches long and 3.8 pounds, the driver is one of the most compact on the market.
User-Friendly Features Save Time and Reduce Fatigue
Packed with user-friendly features, this impact driver is easy to handle, even for the novice user. In addition to its compact size, the driver features a spring-loaded impact mechanism to further reduce user fatigue. A 1/4-inch hex drive makes for fast, easy bit changes, while externally accessible brushes makes replacements easy.
To help out in dark corners or other low-light areas, the driver provides a built-in LED light for instant illumination.

This review is from: Bosch 25618-01 18-Volt Lithium_Ion 2-Fat Battery Impact Driver (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have used many different drills and drivers and feel this is the best impact driver I have used or seen. I am a carpenter of 27 years experience that works with many other tradesmen and have the opportunity to see many tools in action. I also go through enough tools of my own to know. I have driven 6" RSS screws into PT with this thing and know that it has plenty of power to drive them quickly and repetitively. Compare that to the ryobi 18v NiCad impact driver for instance which bogs down after a few inches and does not drive the screw in because it does not have as much power. The Bosch is also gentle enough to drive in the little 1/2" euro hinge screws without damaging them. I find this wide range of torque to be impressive and useful. The Bosh is also the most comfortable impact driver I have used which is important if you are using this thing for hours on end. It comes with a pretty good carrying case with room for three batteries including the one attached to the drill as well as some really generous extra storage room. The carrying case has nice metal cam-action latches as opposed to the cheap plastic snap action latches seen on so many cases these days. The driver case itself as well as the battery case are also built really well. This thing is tough, really tough. I have no problem dropping it to softer ground or a soft toss to harder ground or planking if I need to. My only gripe is I would like to see more bit storage on the driver case itself (only one)...but this is a downfall of almost all drills and drivers. As far as I am concerned, there can never be enough bit storage on the case, but it seems to me the manufacturers could do much better.

I build pole barns and garages for a proffesion and use this impact 8-10 hours a day. I cant say enough about it there is no other impact on the market that can compete!. Ive tried them all makita, milwaukee, dewalt this thing has more inch pounds of torque than them all. This drill has fallen from 8+ feet to 15+ feet off roofs and pick up and keep going. The batteries seem to never die can run shooting 3 inch deck screws almost all day on just one battery. Lag bolts no problem ive ran it side beside with dewalt and makita btd144 blowed them away. Ive had the impact for little over 6 months now not one problem, it the only drill i really need and i abuse it to the limits. You cant go wrong with this drill or bosch great service as all my power tools are bosch. Really the last impact you will ever need!

I'm the owner operator of a garage door company. I've been using Makita and DeWalt 18 volt impact guns for quite awhile. Read the reviews on the Bosch and it caught my interest. When I saw the price I had to give one a try. With 1500 inch pounds of torque it will really drive a door lag with no problem. Same for running a track lag into a 2x6. Takes about half the time my DeWalt took. Battery life is fantastic. Installed a 18x7 door with 5 struts on it and an opener without having to change the battery. And that's after using it for a couple smaller jobs before I got to the door. Got half way through a 9x8 door install before needing to change it. With my DeWalt lithium gun system the battery would just quit without warning. This gun slows down slightly before it quits so that you know to put a fresh battery into it before you climb the ladder. I only wish this gun had a delay to it's work light like the Makita does. The work light is only on when the trigger is depressed. There is a position on the trigger where the light comes on but the gun does not run so I'll just get use to that. I like this gun so much that I've gone ahead and ordered another one in case this one ever wears out. This kit comes with the gun, 2 FatPack batteries, a charger and case. I highly recommend it.
