this is a great little item for helping contain chips and clean up after using the planner. the planner makes a ton of dust and shavings and this item is very handy for attaching your shop vac too help save on the mess, esp while on the job site. i highly recommend it.

I was very happy to finally be able to get this as it wasn't available when I ordered my Bosch Planer from Amazon. I was even happier knowing it withstands the torque put on it from a large shop vac hose tugging on it. Fast delivery too, so thanks for carrying this Amazon.

Yes, this adapter connects a standard 2 1/2 inch shop vac hose to the dust outlet on the Bosch 1594K planer. It is made of rigid plastic and stays attached well during use. I discovered that it also fits the dust outlet of my old Dewalt compound miter saw!
