This rip fence *should* come with the saw, but doesn't. It isn't fancy, and has no frills, but performs exactly what it is designed to do. I'd love it if Skil would include this one with the saw and offer one with a micro-adjustment at additional cost - but they don't do either of those things. Being able to find the right one to fit my saw at a reasonable cost is the next best thing. Thanks.

I do wish the saw would have just came with it, but for $8 it is not a bad accessory. Fit my 5480 circular even though not a listed model. Can't wait to use the first time.

Purchased for use with my Skil circular saw. My saw isnt one of the models listed but it still fits perfectly. I don't own a table saw and making long rip cuts is tough with a circular saw when you don't do it often. After using this a few times I don't feel the need for a table saw. I was able to rip less than 1/4 inch from 2x4 and 1x6 stock and held the line easily even with the small margin for error. Definitely recommend this product.

Once again amazon.com has come through for me with help locating hard to find components and repair parts. The Adjustable Rip Fence proved to be the perfect replacement for the one that was damaged when my circular saw fell from the saw horse. In fact, the scale on the new fence is much easier to read and more accurate that the old one.

If the wing screw which came with this rip fence fit my saw, I would give it 5 stars. Otherwise, I had to purchase the screw for $1, and it works great. I have a very standard saw, and am surprised that this wing screw didn't work.

Other than that, I am ripping fool now, cutting down hardibacker, plywood, etc. Indispensable and cheap, this is well worth the purchase, and the search for a proper wing screw in my case.

I do wish there was a feature which could bring the rip fence closer to the blade. I do a lot of trim work with hardwoods, and I would love to get 1/2" from the blade with my high powered saw. Guess I'll stick to my table saw for now. Not sure how close you can get to the blade, but it about 2" on my Bosch left hand radial saw.

If you do work around the house get it.

Very nice add on for my saw. I used it to shorten some doors, it work great. It takes the guest work out it. I strongly recommend this item it you have a hard time keeping the saw straight.
