Like Mr Myers, I bought this battery mainly for my Bosch jobsite radio: Bosch PB360S Basic Power Box Jobsite Radio. It works great with the radio, but without the radio plugged in, it drains rather quickly (maybe a week at most in standby?)Overall, I would say it's a decent battery compared to my Makita 18V lithiums but at 2.6 Ah, it's rather low. Do the math and see if 79 bucks for a 3.0 Ah makita vs 85 for a Bosch 2.6 Ah battery is worth it (as of 1/22/11). But I'm sure prices change with time. If you can get it for under 70 like I did from amazon a while back (not from a 3rd party) then it might be a deal. Also if you have a Bosch set of cordless tools already then it's a no brainer. Shouldn't lithium batteries be going down in price? The technology has been out for awhile now. I think the tool manufacturers are going the way of inkjet printers; they have high profit margins for consumables... [UPDATE 11/22/11] Looks like Bosch has released a new line of their litheon batteries. The BAT619G is now rated at 3.0 Ah vs the 2.6 for the BAT618. I believe they call it the "FatPack HC" now. I'm sure the slimpacks will have a "HC" version too.

As a homeowner nothing is worse than finally getting around to it and the battery for the needed tool is low on charge. This is a fast charge, strong battery. If I were in construction I would have more than one ready to go, but for my use, it is a very good choice. I use it on my circular hand saw, reciprocating saw, drill and my nifty, what would I ever need this for, hand held light.

Bought this battery for my Bosch power box. Battery works great and lets me use the power box without messing with a power cord. I have ordered another one for a backup.
