Rugged aluminum base withstands tough job site conditions (view larger).

Flexible Power System

It's powered by an 18-volt lithium-ion battery with Bosch-exclusive Electronic Cell Protection technology, which provides a five-times-longer cycle life than competitive lithium-ion batteries by monitoring output levels to prevent overheating. This kit comes with two Fat Pack battery for longer runtime and saw blades to get you started right out of the box.

Portable Cutting Power

At 8.25 pounds, including the Fat Pack battery, this lightweight band saw is extremely portable, making it an ideal tool for use in overhead applications like electrical work. And the 18-volt lithium-ion battery helps prevent overheating in tough applications and protects motor from overload damage. Despite its compact size, the rugged aluminum base is durable enough to withstand tough jobsite conditions.

The band saw is designed with the battery pack above the handle, giving you an ergonomic and balanced feel on both sides. The BSH180 accommodates most common size materials cut by core trade users up to 2-1/2 inches on a single pass. It also includes an integrated LED work light that illuminates your cut line in dark areas.

Flexible Power System

Like all tools in Bosch's 18-volt line, this band saw can be used with either a 1.3 Ah Slim Pack battery (model BAT609), a 1.5 Ah Slim Pack HC (model BAT610G), or a 2.6 Ah Fat Pack battery (model BAT618). If you're looking for a lightweight option, the Slim Pack batteries are the perfect choice. If longer runtime is what you need, the Fat Pack will do the job.

ProVantage Guarantee

The BSH180-01 comes with the ProVantage three-year protection plan, which guarantees two years of battery protection and one year of tool protection. Under this plan, you can receive two years of free battery replacements, tool replacement for one year, and a free tool repair package for the second and third years.

What's in the Box

One Bosch BSH180-01 band saw kit with two 2.6 Ah Fat Pack batteries (BAT618), one one-hour charger (BC660), one carrying case, and operating instructions.

Love The tool BUT. I have used band saws for decades. I have never gone through blades. These blades break long before they are used up. At $10 bucks a blade it is absurd. Teeth are still new sometimes when the blade breaks. 7 out of 10 times it breaks on the weld. I have been an electrician using band saws for decades. I have never put pressure on a band saw. A gentle control keeps the cut straight and lets the saw do the cutting. If this saw did not eat blades for lunch it would be a 10 star item. I cant imagine giving this saw to a crew to use. you would be buying a new saw every month in blades.

Shame on you Bosch for putting this saw out like this. Many of use are professionals using this and the blade replacement cost is horrible given you can go through a couple of these a day at times.

I install a lot of custom cut 1" metal railing in my business, we generally use sawzalls or 120volt portable bandsaws to cut them. This device has made the process much easier and cleaner. The precision of the cuts and manueverablity of the saw are unparrelleled. The batteries run all day and provide access to the entire jobsite without running xt cords all over. Is it going to replace your sawzall? Nope, not with a 2" depth of cut but it can do a better job than your sawzall on many smaller tasks. Cons, very specific places and uses for this product. It's pricey, but within line of all other battery bandsaws.

I've been using this bandsaw for almost a year now. Great power and its very versatile. My only gripe is the blades. They are too weak to consistently make the tight radius on such a small tool. I recommended this tool but offer this piece of advice. Use it with light pressure. Let the weight of the tool cut and cut as straight as possible.

I use it for a week, but the problems do not end.Every day a broken blade and one blade is $ 10. Catastrophic!!!Very poor engineering solution. After a few cuts, cracks appear on the blade and then breaks.I am an electrician for over 15 years and until now I've used other brand band saw that somebody stole
