I've owned two other vacuums during the past 9 years; both were made by very popular vacuum manufacturers. I was dissappointed with the performance of each and decided I'd have to spend a little more money to avoid the the aggravation of poor quality. This is definitely a huge improvement. Unbelievable sucking power. During my first use, I vacuumed carpet that had just recently been vacuumed with my old machine. It collected so much dust and dirt, the collection bin had to be emptied after approximately 1,000 square feet. The beater-brush is super and worthy of its reputation for getting dirt at the edges. I love the idea of never having to buy bags or replace a belt. The noise level is also pretty good. The vacuum is a little heavy, and moving it around the carpet is a tougher than with other vacuums I've owned. The design makes maneauvering onto door mats and the like a little awkward. But very clean floors is most important to me and that's what I've got now.

This is the best vacuum I've ever owned and I've had a lot of makes the Sharps, Samsung and Panasonic were very good, Hoover and Dirt Devil were well.... junk. This vacuum is really amazing it has the best suction of any vacuum and can it ever clean a carpet or bare floor like no other vacuum I've ever owned(Isn't that the main reason what make a good vacuum it's cleaning ability???). And also is very easy to operate not very hard to push, can get in small spaces, under tables and chairs very easily, and it not to noisy. At first when I bought this vacuum I wasn't sure what to expect, but after several month of ownership I am totally sold that this is the best!(why pay more?). I also love the bagless feature.

Those who speak negatively about this vac, the Bosch BUC11700UC, are most likely being paid off by Dysan to denigrate this most excellent and innovative product. With this vac available on the market, a person would have to be out of his or her mind to pay twice the price or more for the Dysan.

It took only a few minutes to get the vac out of the box, read the manual and get to work and I must say that my wife and I were immediately impressed and the difference between our old vac and this one, even when the old one was new, is like night and day. This vac never lost a bit of its tremendous suction power even when filled beyond the max fill line and we were pleased that it left our carpets nice and clean and still attached to the floor. Furthermore, for all this power, it is amazingly quiet and stylish.

I know it sounds weird to gush about a vacuum cleaner, but with five cats and multiple birds in the house, I'm please to know that we have a machine that more than meets the challenge and was an excellent buy to boot!

I was a little skeptical when I purchased this vacuum...I didn't even know that Bosch made a vacuum cleaner. However, when I got it home, all skepticism quickly diminished. This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. It picks up everything in its path. We have a dog that sheds in the house, but you would never know it with this vacuum. What I like most about it is that you can get into the cracks of the floorboards (where the carpet meets the wall); it even picks up stuff hiding out there. This is the only vacuum I will own!!

I don't know how many times I've spent $150+ for crappy vacuums? Sure, they all did their job well but in the end the amount of cheap plastic parts always broke in some way. The Bosch has very little plastic clips, hinges, or latches. Simple design no belts! My Dirt Devil lasted 2 years before the thing wouldn't stand upright - broken plastic latch. The Bosch self-winding cord is a dream. Quiet. Powerful. Durable German design. Bright halogen lamp. The bagless canister empties from the bottom - easy! Buy it if you want a quality built vacuum that will last.

Why pay the inflated price for a Dyson. The Bosch is just as good if not better plus has the retractable cord and all for half the price. This thing is powerful and does not look like a dayglow plastic toy.

When I used this vacuum for the first time, it was obvious that it is a very different machine from the Eureka that I had bought at WalMart a couple of years ago. Its sucking power is very impressive and is obvious from the dust that collects in the container. Its design is logical and convenient. I like the fact that the cord is retractable.

The machine is not light and needs some force to be pushed. Since the spring for the retractable cord is strong, I think that it is advisable to control the cord so that it does not slam around. The hook on the handle prevents the cord from getting caught under the brushes.

My fiancee used the vacuum at her house and was able to get the dog hair out of her carpet without any problem.

I think that for its quality this is machine is well worth the money.

I have this cleaner for 1 month and I love it. It's the best vacuum I ever had, and I had a few. It really gets all the dust from the floor. I highly recommend this one.

I've had my vacuum a couple of months now and so far have had no promblems. It has awsome suction. For the money it is a good vacuum. You would expect to pay the same for a hoover or dirt devil ect...

However I did expect it to be made out of better material than it was. The rear wheels are to small as well.

Great for bare floors, Hard to push on shag. However for the money it is comparable to anything else thats out there with probably more suction.

I've had this vacuum for a year now. I live in a three-bedroom home and use it twice a week. Suction is phenomenal. Filter is reasonably cheap and only needs to be replaced 1-2 times annually. When an object gets clogged, the brush automatically stops rolling until you clear the airway and press the reset button. This is important, because it prevents overheating and damage. Cord automatically recoils for your convenience. The hose extends for hard to reach places (there's even a brush at the end of the hose for better pick-up). Machine is easy to manuever when the brush is rolling. This is the superior choice for your money.
