Great battery life for a cordless tool.

Frankly, I like the feel & finish on this tool better than the M12 overall.

I'm a handyman, contractor & novice electrical guy. Almost all my tools are Milwaukee, including 11 M12 tools, but I decided to buy the Bosch 12V Max Pocket Driver instead of the M12 screwdriver. I bought THIS tool to have at least another tool on the Bosch 12v platform. The complaints about battery life are true, the battery provides 4-8 minutes of moderate-to-serious cutting or sanding, (no worse than Ridgid's 12v JobMax) I also own an M12 Multi which I use predominantly with an XC battery that gives 15-20 minutes of work & roughly 10 minutes w/ a 'standard' M12 battery. The speed dial on this is 'fluid', I've accidentally changed speeds in mid cut which can be a little dangerous, so mind the dial, while the M12 has detents making it almost impossible for that to happen. Frankly, I like the feel & finish on this tool better than the M12 overall. The problem here is that this tool and others like it, (usually cutting tools), is that they are "high-draw", and suck way more juice than say...a drill or impact driver. I'm hanging on to the hope that Bosch will release a 'Higher Capacity' 12v battery, however, there's no love lost here because I really like the way this tool operates & feels. As for the rapidly draining batteries, the solution is simple, (albeit a bit co$tly), *buy a couple.of extra batteries*...that's what I did.

Held off buying this due to reviews, but looked at the reviews again and see they are all battery-related. Bosch has released at least 2 generations of 12V batteries that fit since the originals so make sure you don't get the original series of 12V battery or life/power will be poor.

Excellent tool. If your used to a big corded version of this, this will probably disappoint you. It is running on the 12v system (not the 18), so there is less power- however, that said, I use it a lot! It has vibration, but not as bad as the dremels. Run time is decent, and the tool is smart enough to shut down when power is low in the battery. If you get the new 4.0 batteries you will have more than enough power. Door jams, trim, sanding, etc. I give it 4 stars, because it is not a tool less change over.

Note: the version I purchased said "tool only" but came with a hard case (not l-boxx compatible) and a small starter kit with blades that fit inside. That was a real bonus!

Second to a cordless drill an oscillating tool is a must for any tool box. This is my second Bosch PS50B. THe first one has been a work horse for the past few years. A word of advice is to let the tool do the work. Applying to much force while cutting or sanding does not make the job go faster and can cause damage to the tool, batteries and blades. This is probably what caused one of the tool's battery contacts to break on my first PS50B. With the newer 2.0 and 4.0 Ah batteries' longer run times this tool is a very practical cordless tool.

I needed something that could cut a screw in a very tight space. This worked perfectly and was comfortable to use.

This is a great multi tool! No time wasting with cords and packs a decent amount of power for a 12v. Love this thing!

I understood that I was buying a bare tool (no blade, no battery). I pleasantly surprised to have the tool arrive with a carrying case. The bare tool was a replacement for a previous PS50 that I had worked to death over three years of hard work.

This is one of my new favorite tools. It's the first vibrating tool I've owned and I'm amazed at how I struggled without it.
I've used it on drywall for electrical boxes, scraping paint and glue and trimming hardwood molding. The battery life is good and all accessories mount and work well.

I have discovered that the included low end blades dull quickly so I've upgraded to carbide models where available.

I also purchased the LBOXX-1 case, which I'm equally happy with.
