This review is from: Bosch Food Processors MCM5200
This is a really very good food processor. I have used it for chopping, shredding and making dough. It works perfectly. It also comes with a number of attachments and a blender! Even though I had a blender, I liked this one better as it has more power and the size is a bit smaller than my earlier one. I am still giving it a four star rating because:1. If the motor on the processor overheats, then you have to send it to the factory to get it reset. That could be a problem. My earlier food processor would just cool down and start again. I haven't encountered that problem on this machine yet, and I am hoping I won't. 2. The shredding disc is not as efficient as it should be. I shredded carrots and they were too mushy. Also the feeder doesn't do a good job of holding the carrots in place, thus making them get stuck under the shredding disc. Even though this model claims it has three different sizes for the shredding function, there is little difference between the fine and the regular shredding it does and the coarse is too coarse. It just does not have a good shredder. Otherwise it is a very good machine, takes up little space on the counter, and the mixing bowl is quite large. I would certainly recommend it. |
