Unfortunately Amazon does not tell you the bit sizes in this set. I just purchased one (Jan. 2010) which has the following eight bits: 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 And 3/4 Inch.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for tile, not so great for glass
I needed a good set of drill bits for our new ceramic and glass tile bathroom. The bits were excellent for the ceramic tile. Started easily with no wandering. Clean holes. The glass tiles were another story. We used 1" mosaic tiles for the shower area, but I needed to drill holes for the handheld shower set. I practiced on extra tiles beforehand and found that the drills...

4.0 out of 5 stars Glass and Tile Bits, December 26, 2008

Bosch GT3000 Glass and Tile Set, 8-Piece I purchased these bits for a bathroom remodel project. They worked as advertised cutting holes in thick glass tiles and regular ceramic tiles. They have very sharp points so getting them started was easy. I built a dam with painters tape under the holes I drilled, to contain the mess, and sprayed water liberally as I drilled. Very satisfied with the purchase and the bit sizes included in the set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well on porcelain pottery, November 1, 2009

Shortly after getting this kit, I used the 3/4" bit to drill a hole in the bottom of a porcelain pot that we had been using as a flower pot. The bit started very easily, and cut through quite nicely. Very satisfied with the performance.

The glass tiles were another story. We used 1" mosaic tiles for the shower area, but I needed to drill holes for the handheld shower set. I practiced on extra tiles beforehand and found that the drills would get through the glass, but the spade style bit would catch and crack the tile 3 out of 4 times. I finally bought a diamond core bit and that worked well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bits just one minor slow down, March 16, 2011

Drilling free hand was a problem. I was drilling 1/8" glass for a picture frame. The bit would not bite and I had to score it with my dremel tool using a diamond bit. Did ok after that. I had to give up on another habit of mine which was drilling a small hole and working my way up. Small hole is fine but it seems that it works better if you work up in larger increments. Also don't drill through all the way. Just like wood drill the small hole drill the larger hole half way and then do the other side. If possible. This would not happen with tile. Tile is glued in place glass is open on both sides and unsupported. It tends to chip if you drill all the way through from one side. Also a drill press helps. My first attempt I had a poor work surface and the drill tilted just as it went through. You can imagine what happened. Funny thing that hole kept it from braking all the way it just cracked about 3" out from the hole. I knew to do that with fiber glass I guess it works for glass too. LOL.
Once these bits bite they work great. I recommend using a squirt gun or water bottle to cool the glass and bit and it cuts down on glass dust. Not good to breath that.
Hope this helps somebody. I'd never drilled thin glass before this so it was a learning experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice collection of sizes, worked flawlessly, February 5, 2010

The set has a nice collection of sizes (1/16, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, and 3/4 inch) packed in a nice compact heavy duty case. The sizes are useful for various projects around the house.

I used the 3/16 inch bit to drill holes in my ceramic tile shower wall to hang a towel bar. Put some masking tape on the wall, marked the holes and just drilled without no problems. The bit cut a smooth hole with just a little pressure and very little walking on the surface. 4 holes, all done right the first time in the right place.

They work well -- at least on ceramic tile. I have not tried them on glass and don't currently have any plans to do so (don't need any holes in my windows :-)). Definitely recommend them if you plan to do some drilling in the bathroom.

I've tried many a cermaic tile bits. These by far excell beyond all. The long sides keep the bore straight as you drill. I've used the 1/8" up to 1" on all types of tile and granite.
Once you have your mark, I use drill driver as a punch with the bit installed and give it a little bump on the back to punch a nick in the glazing of the surface and start drilling. I use a spray bottle with water to spray a stream as I drill to help keep it cool during drilling. I don't know if it helps but it seems to in my opinion.

I bought this set to double up what I have just for the case. All my bits fit in one marked case. Sweet.

Very nice set of bits. A little pricey but it's amazing the way they cut through tile..."like a hot knife going through butter". Just try to avoid hitting any hidden nails or metal objects behind the tiles as the bits will readily chip or splinter and that's it for the bits usefullness. Great product!

I bought these primarily to drill three holes through the grout between tiles to hang a bathroom shelf. The bit self-destructed -- the point disappeared, it split and the two pieces of the split bent. That was the 3/16 bit, I think. Then I used a larger bit to drill through the bottom of a ceramic bowl. It took almost a half hour. In both instances I tried to lubricate with water. I am not happy with the set.
