5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, April 27, 2010

When coupled with a hammer drill like the Bosch 1194AVSRK (whose specifications say it capable of driving a 3/4" hole in concrete), you can actually use this 1" bit _without_ a pilot hole. Very, very nice.

This review is from: Bosch HCBG21 Blue Granite Hammer Drill Bit Carbide Tip 5/8 x 10 x 12 (Tools & Home Improvement)
i had to drill a hole in two pieces of a granite post. I used a standard hammer drill (not a rotary hammer). started out great but 3-4 inches in the bit was shot. i'm still pretty happy with it though. they drill threw masonry like butter.
