I bought this for my Mom for Christmas because I thoroughly researched these machines on Amazon and other websites and read tremendous reviews about them. I didn't like the Kitchen Aid because it requires a lot of hassle to put in ingredients without getting the head all dirty and also because you have to mix it by hand at the bottom to make sure all ingredients are incorporated. At this point, we've tried several things, except bread. I love the concept of the whisk action and it works---up to a point. You always have to make sure to start it very slow otherwise the ingredients fly up close to the border of the bowl and they don't incorporate unless you do so by hand at the end or stop the machine halfway thru, lift the cover, do it, and start again. The machine seems a little flimsy to me. We were doing a brownie dough and the head started to wobble a little more than I would like. The blender is a little convoluted to clean out. There are different parts to twist on and off. At first, I couldn't get the parts loose because the factory had screwed them on so tight. My Mom seems to like it, although I don't know if she's just being nice to me because she was the one who saw the machine on HSN and got excited about it. I just wish we had our old Sunbeam back---what a machine that was!
