Designed to fit all Bosch stand mixer/kitchen machines whose model numbers begin with MUM 7 and MEK 7, this slicer/shredder consists of three stainless-steel disks and a big, 3-liter bowl. (The slicer/shredder has no motor and cannot operate independently of the Bosch machines listed.) One reversible disk cuts cucumbers, cabbage, potatoes, and other vegetables into thick or thin slices. Another reversible disk coarsely or finely shreds carrots, celery, radishes, and other vegetables. The third disk grates cheese, chocolate, nuts, and potatoes to a medium consistency. The bowl is virtually unbreakable plastic and measures 8 inches in diameter and 6 inches high. All parts are dishwasher-safe. Available separately are a chipper disk, a julienne disk, a coarse-grating disk, and a fine-grating disk. --Fred Brack

This slicer shedder will hold two pounds of shredded cheese. It is fast and very easy to clean. One blade grates both medium and course or slices thin and thick just flip them over so you only have to store half as many blades.
