I just recieved my new Bosch multi tool. Very, very nice tool. It will be used along with my 10 year old Fein[model #636 II]. This is the only multi tool that comes as close to the Fein I have that has no vibration at all. I was tired of always having to tighten up what ever blade or sander piece I was using. I even used a bolt and box wrench to try and keep blades tight. I tried a new Fein and my arm just buzzed after only 30 seconds of holding the tool while it was on. [ I tried 3 of them all the same ] Love the quick hold/release mech for the blades/sander. The tool box is great, just as nice as a Festool if not a little nicer. Don't know why the bad reviews on the box? Lots of room for the tool[ built in spot] and great storage box for the blades and sanding products. Also has a built in spot to keep it in place in the main tool box. Also has extra room in left corner of main tool box for other items you may want to store with the multi tool. Nice strong handles on tool box. You can carry it vertically or horizontally. Tool is also quiet compared to others I have tried. Even other Bosch multi tools. This one is assembled in Switzerland. Bought mine from Tyler tool. Came with free shipping for a total of $269.99. Has 3 amps of power, oscillates at 1.4 degrees left to right = total of 2.8 degrees. weighs 3.7 pound and a speed range of 8,000 to 20,000.

I can't believe I went years without an oscillating tool. It's particularly useful for cutting into walls, floors, ceilings, etc., anywhere that a small, punge blade is needed. Personally, I don't fund the sanding attachments much of a value (though they would be if I needed to get into corners). I used several carbide blades when cutting plaster walls and ceilings. I bought bosch carbide blades, and thought the Versa-Tool MB3A3B3C3D1H1I1J was a good value pack. Round blades are quite useful.

This is my second Bosch oscillating tool, and my 4th Bosch product. Each product works as advertised, but in this case, excuse the pun, the case is horrible. Rather than protect the tool from environmental use, it may actually harm the product at a work site. At best it is a good dust cover, at worse it could cut the rubberized grips if it falls from a low height bench. Bosch should replace everyone they sent out! The tool itself is great, haven't had it long enough to comment on reliability. If you decide to purchase it, plan on buying/making a new case. The tool free blade replacement works better than the screw-in format used in the other model I have, and it is quieter. It is noticeably heavier than the Fein, but I believe it is more powerful. I highly recommend the product.

This tool is a tremendous time-saver for remodeling work. I had the original Fein detail sander and tried retro-fitting it with an adapter for the cutting and grinding blades. This adaptation did not work; it was slow and frustrating. I decided to get the Bosch tool because of the high quality and ready availability of blades (at Home Depot). It is comparable in quality to the Fein Multitool at a much lower price.

The main thing I've used it for is to cut a straight line in existing plaster, drywall and trim in the course of remodeling demolition and repairs. I also used it for the difficult task of cutting the sub-floor along the toe kicks of kitchen cabinets. For this job, my Bosch saw did a far better job than any tool except a special purpose toe-kick saw. It out-performed my partner's Fein but that may have been due to the high quality Bosch blades that I was using.

I opted for the 3.0 amp saw and the large tool box and am very happy with both decisions.

I am using it on remodeling an older mobile home with black mold issues. The walls are put in on top of the flooring, so it requires being able to cut under walls and door jams. I was able to flush cut under the edge of a vanity where there was only 4 inches of room to work the tool. It took a little while, but there will not be any weak areas in the flooring. I could have gone with a cheaper oscillating tool, but you get what you pay for.

The case is big and bulky, and the insert is cheesy. Remember those nice cases with foam cut outs? For 3 bills I think Bosch can do better. That being said, I didn't buy the tool for the case quality however I do want to keep my investment safe and cared for; and so it will cost the review one star.
The quick release arm as opossed to reaching to a hex wrench or driver bit is the way to go. lots of attachments that work well. I enjoyed practicing the plunge cut in a variety of applications. This tool is a time saver above all.

Purchased Bosch Oscillating tool 3 amp to see the difference of power and other features I own the 2.5 amp model which I think is a fantastic tool I've used it many times on many project other than blade wear it has never let me down. On my first use of the 3amp model I could feel the added power but the grip is a bit beefier and the new blade release is nice but the circular flush cut blades can only be used on one side it cannot be flipped the larger attaching mechanism cannot fit into the concave recess of the blade unlike the washer and nut of the older model. I just hope it pleases me as much as its little brother.
