5.0 out of 5 stars grout blade exceptional September 28, 2010
Color Name:NA|Verified Purchase
I used 3 Rockwell grout blades that wore out. Then I switched to the Bosch grout blade and finished my project with no sign of wear and tear on this blade. Wow What a difference! I could have saved more money if I read the reviews before buying the other blades.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best Grout & Masonry Flush Cut Blade I've Used. April 29, 2013
Color Name:NA
The first grout blades I bought were the Dremel FOR my Dremel but even w/ the 1.15 amp Dremel 6500 I had. Both the 1/8" and 1/16" Dremel grout blades dulled after 1 job & a half. The next one I bought was this and immediately noticed a major difference in how effectively it ground out my grout lines. Aside from the size difference between the two brands, the grit on the Dremels were very fine compared to the grit on this. I realize that carbide doesn't easily dull when used & treated right but the fine-ness caused me to go over lines over and over to get any kind of depth. That, in turn, caused heat which KILLS carbide blades by compromising the weld material bonding the carbide to the blade body (and diamond grit in diamond blades). The downside of more abrasive grit is caking in between the granules which can be removed w/a wire brush or a rotary tool & steel brush attachment. These to me, are the best of the mid-to-high end multi/oscillating tool blades around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gadget September 30, 2009
Color Name:NA|Verified Purchase
This is better for removing the hard grout from tile but it does a good job of removing calking. Works better on hardened than on soft but still does well. Takes a lot of care for removing window calk. Really speeds up the work of retiling or replacing calk.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for grout removal! December 2, 2010
Color Name:NA|Verified Purchase
I used the Bosch grout blade with my Rockwell Sonicrafter to remove the grout around several damaged tiles. This blade is a huge step up from the stock blade that came with the Sonicrafter. The blade is durable and a great value. A must have for tile repairs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product November 5, 2010

This grout blade out-performed the blade that I had originally received with the saw. Would recommend this as the blade to have when cutting out tile grout

I've given these blades a 3-star "It's OK" rating only in comparison to Dremel's offering, the MM500. I've used both of these grout blades previously with a Harbor Freight air operated multi tool, but unfortunately, the Dremel version is incompatible Ruth the quick-change mechanism of the Bosch MX30.

They are claimed to be 1/8" kerf, but the grout lines in my shower vary down to 1/16", and this blade will get in there, although in the narrowest margins it's eating away a bit of the tile to make the cut.

The abrasive coating makes a handy depth gauge to ensure the bit isn't cutting into the thinset, backerboard or greenwall behind the tiles.

The Bosch blade's down side is the "wings" -- they don't do a great job of helping me into tight corners at changes of plane. I need the blade edge to straighten out, rather than follow a radius around to the point. It's just impossible to get this into where a grout line meets the tub rim, or into a corner, without making contact with an unintended surface.

While this Bosch blade is great for all of the wide open areas, it's hasn't proven any better or longer lasting than the Dremel blade, and with a few bucks price difference, the Dremel blade is the better value, too -- provided it's compatible with your tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Bosch June 21, 2013
Color Name:NA
I used the Bosch blade with my Bosch tool to remove grout. I realized that I was going to need a new blade, so I raced off to a box store before they closed. They had the Bosch Tile/Grout blade for 40.00 or the Rockwell Sonic blades for $12.00. I bought two of the Rockwell blades even though I KNEW better. I purchased two just in case they really sucked.

The Rockwell blade either really sucks, or else the Bosch blade is AMAZING. I haven't found that sweet spot that supposedly exists to prolong blade life, but the Rockwell blade lasted maybe 1/6 of the time the Bosch blade. I believe the Bosch blade lasted perhaps an hour and 45 minutes, and the Rockwell blade lasted maybe 25.

Buy the Bosch, but buy it here, not at a box store.
