I'm the Husband of Tina and a Coppersmith under [...] working in Portland, Oregon, but have clients all across the Country. I have a heavy duty and light duty corded sheer from Bosch that I've used since 2005 to cut 16 ga stainless steel and thicker sheets of copper. I was very skeptical of this 12V sheer, but I have been pleasantly surprised how well it works and much quieter. The battery is very small and there fore does not last terribly long between charges, but it will easily cut 20oz copper, and even cuts 32oz copper. It is very nice to be free of a cord and not as heavy as my Bosch 1500C light duty sheer. I find myself not grabbing the corded sheer any more and even using this to cut more; that I normally would have used tin snips on. Definitely well worth the cost. I will probably get another one for the work van as well.
