When the trigger is pulled on the RN175, air drives the piston down the cylinder. As the piston strikes, air is exhausted out the front of the tool for 100-percent air power and no wasted energy.
Heavy-Duty Armor for Incredible Durability
The RN175 works as hard as you do, and it doesn't cave under pressure. Specially designed armor, including carbide inserts on the top and front of the nose piece, provides uncompromising resistance to the damaging effects of jobsite abuse and wear from abrasive shingles. This armor also ensures great on-the-go performance--even under extreme conditions--and longer tool life.
Best Power-to-Size Ratio in the Industry
Measuring 3.25 x 10.0 x 10.0 inches and weighing just 5.5 pounds, the RN175 packs big power in a small package. In fact, it offers the best power-to-size ratio in the industry. And even though the RN175 is 20% smaller than its competitors, this compact tool gives you 10% more power. And because this tool is so easy to handle, it provides comfortable over-the-head firing and great overall control.
User-Friendly Features for Easy Loading and Adjustments
The RN175 boasts a range of helpful features to make operation smooth and trouble-free. First, a single-action tool-less side load allows for one-step nail loading, saving you both time and effort. At the same time, a tool-less adjustable shingle guide lets you easily change the exposure dimensions for different shingle types.
Inline Air Filter and Dry Fire Lock-Out Prevent Damage
To help prevent debris from entering the nailer and compromising its performance, the RN175 includes an inline air filter. This filter self-cleans by removal of the air line. Air from the tool is then exhausted out the filter, clearing all blocked debris. Finally, a dry fire lock-out prevents blank firing, which can damage both internal components and make unnecessary holes in shingles.
The RN175 comes with a one-year warranty; one-year service protection plan; and 30-day, money-back guarantee.

Nice one,

This review is from: Bosch RN175 Roofing Coil Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
One roofing job down and so far I'm impressed. Wide range of tool-free adjustment on nail depth makes it easy to get the right level where the nails are buried but not blowing through. Coworker's gun wouldn't adjust without allen wrench which was missing so we turned the air down to 75 psi and there was still room to adjust this one's set depth down. So plenty of power, seems to be spot on with Bosch's 10% more claim. Very compact, smallest RN I've seen, but not the lightest around so in theory this would make it more able to withstand the inevitable falls. Single flip open on the coil pack is nice for one handed quick changes. Dry fire protection is also a handy feature, no more blowing 3 holes in the shingle before you realize you're out of ammo.Seems to be a little more prone to double taps than some if you're depressing the trigger after depressing the nose guard, and the only way to switch from single to sequential fire is to swap out the included trigger. Not a huge deal but the Porter Cable style switch would be nice. Has no male air end included either. The listing I bought was allegedly new, but has been correctly changed to "refurbished" on here now, though it is (well, was) mint condition and came with a tag that said "sales demo" on it. Get 'em while they last! The different piston retract method on these guns means more moving parts to break no doubt, but if that happens within an unreasonable amount of time, I'll update this. Barring that, consider me a satisfied customer.
