This fleam-ground blade cuts rough and fast through green wood, working at least as well as similar blades I've used. The teeth that look like rakers in the photo are not, they're just fleam ground like the rest, but the blade works well.

I am no tool expert, and my 20$ harbor fright saw can confirm that. Over last 1 yr, and have used 4 different blades on this saw..and here is my experience of different blades.1) Harbor fright brand blade: These blades were junk avoid at all cost. Blades wear out in no time and whenever they cut it takes long time to cut, often stuck in branch and I can feel lot of vibrations. 2) Portar cable : These are only reasonably priced baldes I could find in Lowes (3 blades for 10$). These are sharp initially but wear out quickly. New blade cuts well for branches 0.75 to 2.5" think. 3) Bosch : These blades are sharp, cut well and last a whlie. However compared to milwaukee, these are very thick and tooths are little bit spread out, So cuts are slow and not the cleanest. This blade works well for branches between 1 to 3" think. and on somewhat rigid branch. When branches are green and flexible these baldes were a disappointment. But these last almost as long as milwaukee blades. 4) Milwaukee : IMHO best of these 4 brands at least. cuts thru rigid branches 0.5 to 3" thick, like butter. Very clean cut and lasts a long time. Again these are not for soft green branches. One milwaukee blade gave me more than 50 great cuts, and still going strong. That is more than 5 HF blades or 2 portar cable blades combined. |
