I bought this product in August of 2010 after I started a hardwood floor installation in my kitchen. When I pulled up the old vinyl flooring at the beginning of the job, I noticed that the plywood underlayment in front of the old Frigidaire dishwasher was slightly damp. Further inspection revealed that the water inlet connection was leaking very slowly, and only when the dishwasher was running. I also found a leak at the heating element connection which would not have been easily repaired, so I removed the old one and went to purchase a new dishwasher. After some research, I decided on this Bosch model. I picked it up and installed it as soon as I got home so I could continue with the floor installation. I have owned about four other dishwashers and this is by far the quietest one and it also cleans the best. It is so quiet that I have a hard time hearing it when it's running, and I am always amazed at how clean the dishes are. There are only two things that could have been designed better. The flatware tray, which is tucked in the inside right corner of the bottom rack, is out of the way and not easily accessible without pulling the bottom rack all the way out. It is also a bit smaller than most. The second thing is that all the controls are hidden on the top of the door. It would be nice to have a light or something to show that it is on, or at least when it is complete. Instead, they use an audible beep signal to let you know when it is done. These are very minor issues and if I were shopping for a new dishwasher again, I would buy this one all over again.

We purchased this dishwasher less than a week ago and have been terribly disappointed. It's very loud! We even pulled it out after the first installation and put on our old insulation blanket from our previous dishwasher (old Frigidaire)....and it's still too loud for a great room setting. The racks are small and awkward. We knew we would lose some space by going to a Bosch since they add insulation for noise reduction (which doesn't work), but since we're only a family of three we thought it would be ok. Unfortunately, between the rack design and loss of space you cannot put pots and pans, in additon to dishes in after a meal. As for being user friendly, you do have to read the manual to program it, it's not self explanatory. It does however get the dishes clean. Overall, if there are two of you and your kitchen is seperate from your living area this might work for you. Other than that...keep shopping....we are returning this one and looking for a replacement.

I bought this dishwasher thinking that Bosch products where good... well I found out shortly after that I was dead wrong! Everything made by Bosch including their car parts are JUNK! This dishwasher I got from LOWES on sale for $499.99 used it 4 times and the motor burned out! Took it back they sent it to Bosch and was repaired under warranty now it works kind of. I noticed before it broke that it was VERY LOUD! And didn't clean the dishes at all!! now that its fixed it still is very loud and still doesn't clean the dishes at all we have to latterly hand wash them before putting them in the washer or the washer wont clean anything off them. For example we had pasta with sauce the other day and put the dishes in the washer without washing them by hand first, all the washer did was spray the sauce all over the other dishes! And made more of a mess then we had before we ran it. We ran it a second time and then they were clean enough still not very clean though. I'm not happy with this junk washer at all. I paid too much for it so I'm going to use it tell it burns out again than I'm getting something else not Bosch.

I hate this dishwasher. There is an unbelievably loud rushing water sound throughout the entire cycle. It sounds like someone is standing outside my kitchen spraying the windows with a hose. And my dishes aren't that clean. And I hate the silverware caddy - the slots are too small for my flatware, and I hate that it's located all the way in the back, making it necessary to pull out the whole drawer to put in a spoon as opposed to just opening the door a crack. Perhaps it's just a defective unit, but I see another reviewer had the same problem with both his original and replacement unit, so I'm a little nervous that it is just an inferior product.
