I bought these headphones because I was getting tired of in-ear headphones (they can be quite painful even with the soft buds). A friend of mine has the BOSE around-ear headphones in a different color, and he said they were great. I'm extremely happy with the purchase so far and I've been using them for several weeks.

The sound quality is fantastic. I don't use these headphones for any sort of professional purposes, rather for every day purposes like traveling back and forth to school, traveling longer distances and studying in public places. These headphones do not block out noise entirely (without music playing). When listening to music, however, I am careful to turn the volume on the device down just a bit because, due to the excellent sound quality, it is not necessary to blast whatever it is you're listening to because it can be heard extremely well at a lower volume level.

They are also very comfortable. I can wear them for hours and not have a problem. The fit can be slightly awkward if you wear glasses, but I haven't had problems enough to even come close to regret buying these.

Aesthetically, they are very pleasing. They're slim enough so that I don't look odd wearing them in public (although that is not the highest of my concerns when shopping for headphones, it doesn't hurt!). The only drawback I've noticed, and why I gave four instead of five stars, is that the material on the ear pieces is starting to fade/wear already. Hopefully this will not become an issue.

Last note: these headphones randomly came with an iPod wall charger, which I have used as well. Nice little bonus.

It was simply awesome to put it on my ears and listen to the sound. I was on my Zune player when this arrived and I wasted no time in opening it. I pulled this out and removed the headphones and put this one. VOILA... was i listening to this song earlier as well... it sounds so different... so accurate... u will listen to each and every tone of the music... awesome piece.

Bose is a great investment. I bought the headset for my father for his birthday and he loves it and uses it daily(at home and at his job). Music sounds even better and can zone anything and anyone out when you have these headphones. He has had it for five months now and it is stil in great use

I am SO sorry I waited so long to purchase the headphones. I'd waited because of the cost. Then one day, after realizing I couldn't bear tormenting my ears with the buds, I bit the bullet. They are exceptional. I can hear any instrument, every word of a song, and if I turn the Ipod up loud enough, I can close my eyes and feel as though I'm right there at the concert. Definitely worth every penney.

first off they sent me the light blue ones instead of the silver

I wear these at work, they have excellent sound quality and they block the noise as well as any earbuds or earplugs i've used. The best part is, they block noise as well or better than "noise cancelling" headphones and dont require batteries. Also the cord is thin but takes a lot of abuse... I run over the cord almost daily at work with my office chair and for over a year now these things are still kicking. They sound much better than "beats by dre".

Great sound from small MP3 player..couldn't believe that could drive those earphones!!! Sounds like big speaker system, similar to the Bose radio sound.

Crisp high and mid-range sound plus very good bass, particularly in instrumentals. Clean channel separation. Comfortable fit but cumbersome to carry.
