Nice, but they forgot the button!,

This review is from: Bose Mobile On-Ear Headset - Black (41314) (Personal Computers)
I like Bose products and have several. Yes, true audiophiles sneer and yes, the brand is overhyped but they work for me! The sound quality is as good as I can hear and the fit and finish is above most other products. I have returned several competitors' products.
But they left out a critical feature. The iPhone headset has inline mic and a little button built into the "bulge" where the mic is. This button allows you take an incoming call or to pause your music. The Bose people left the button out -- the music ramps down when you dial a call but, this is the key thing, you have to take the iPhone out of your pocket to answer a call or to pause the music. What were they thinking? So if you're cutting the grass and taking advantage of the noise cancelling feature and your wife tries to speak you have to: (1) pull the phone from your pocket or case, (2) swipe your finger to activate the screen, (3) switch to iTunes and your song, (4)hit the pause screen button. Is your wife more patient than mine? Shure makes a replacement cable (just like Bose) that includes a button. It's a little bigger and clunkier than Apple's barely noticeable squeeze-the-bulge button, but hey, it's there. Bose does not include a button on their replacement cable either. This is what happens when you don't have good user trials. A major mistake on an otherwise fine product. I cannot recommend this product to anyone who has ever been interrupted or received a call while listening to music. Which is pretty much everybody. Wait for the next generation...

This headset is multi-dimensional. It has an attachment for my Treo 680 (and lots of other phones). The attachments are labelled with a square, circle, etc for easy identification. The headset comes with a nice hard case which fits. Bottom line is it works with my computer, works with my Treo 680 and it is an excellent noise cancelling headphone for plane rides, etc. It's a BOSE so the build quality is excellent and the music reproduction is very good. The manual suggests that you not use any audio enhancement, and for the most part I agree. Of course it depends on how the music was ripped in the first place. BOSE is an expensive brand, but I tried the more economical in-ear headsets from other brands (about 5 in the last 12 months)and they just don't work for me. If BOSE makes a WIRELESS headset with the same specifications I'll be buying. The built in-line microphone is sensitive enough and my callers could hear me better when I used the headset as opposed to when I did not

Not iPhone 4 compatible but not Bose fault! (3G, 3GS, OldG works fine),

I was quite thrilled with these headphones when I had my iPhone 3G but having since upgraded to the iPhone 4 I can tell you that these Bose headphones are not compatible with the Apple iPhone 4. I am still giving this headset a 4 star review because I know this is NOT BOSE's FAULT. >It's Apple fault.< If you search the Apple forums you will find that nearly all 3rd party headphones with mic's have become incompatible with the iPhone 4. I suggest that if you are in the market for headphones+mic for your iPhone 4 to be sure that the company you buy from states very clearly that they support the iPhone 4.

Writing a review to state that this works with iphone. You can answer calls very easily. Not sure what a prior review is about regarding iphone being hard to answer (?): listen to ipod, call comes in, push button on cable, talk thru cable mic, call over/hang up, music goes back on. Basically, what you expect it to do. I got this headset because of reviews on bass sound quality along with its iphone comptability. I concur on the bass and works well with iphone.

It may be that Bose is not the leading brand in home theatre, however when it comes to stereo, headphones and headsets, it definetely rules. The main diference you'll hear is the crystal clear reproduction of real deep bass, and a great fit on your ears. It completely redefines what headphones are, since it brings the real life acoustics directly on to your ear. It feels like a theatre or a live hall, sound is really amazing when it comes out of this little pieces of master electronics. Kudos to Bose on this, really amazing product.
This version I got is completely compatible with the iphone or ipod, plus its got more connectors for thinner holes. It just worked out of the box with the Iphone, and the microphone it comes with, is just swell. Just got the thing yesterday so I still have to dig on more features, but out of the box is just amazing. Great buy, specially for the price, plus JK Deals was prompt to deliver.

I have owned and used these headphones for about two years now. I always take it traveling with me and I am amazed how the headphones have survived. It really cuts out the outside noise proportionally. The sound is fantastic. I can hear the base clearly especially when I hook it up to my midi drum set. The look is sleek and compact. I love using them in my home studio. The only problem with on the ear design maybe that it is not as comfortable as the over the ear design. But you get a lot of good sound from such versatile design. I think a bit pricey, at least when I bought them new.

I bought the mobile version of the headphones because they were actually cheaper than the non-mobile version. I don't really have plans to use it with my phone. Headphones are of great quality and sound great. The mobile mini plug fit my mp3 player but the sound was washed out. I replaced the plug with a standard stereo plug and all was well.

I bought two from this seller. Very cool guy. Prompt. Also got one for the gym which I sprayed waterproof on for sweat and one for the car. If you drive and use a headset then get this. You can REALLY HEAR your calls.
