The sound quality is amazing though.

We had this CD changer less than 2 years when one of the slots would not play CDs and gave a disc error.

I returned my purchase to Bose for an exchange for one that doesn't have the same problem.

As a huge music lover, I have always wished for a Bose system to get that amazing sound in such a small box. Upon receiving it...I was not disappointed by the sound or size. However, I have discovered two limitations to the system that are highly disappointing. I bought the 3 disk cd changer along with my Bose system...so that I can listen to 4 CDs without having to change out CDS. With other multi-disc systems I've had...I've always been able to shuffle among disks so that you don't have to listen to just one artist...you can listen to a range of artists from the various disks. The Bose system does NOT allow you to shuffle among disks. It does have a shuffle feature but it only shuffles songs within one disk (which seems futile)...or you can shuffle and have one disk repeat over and over. I was pretty disappointed to see that a system that costs this much can't shuffle between disks.

The other disappointment that I knew when I bought it....is there are no buttons on the system....they are all on a remote control (which is easy to use)...but if you are prone to losing things...this might not be so great for you. I would have liked to have buttons AND a remote.

My sister and I purchased this for our father for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. One issue I have with it is the COMPLETE lack of manual controls, you are utterly reliant on the remote, and the remote is tiny. I ordered a second remote in the larger size, which is much easier for my parents to read without searching for the reading glasses. But the unit sounds like a dream and has worked just perfectly. So, order the extra remote, best to have one on hand just in case you lose one or the dog eats one (yeah, our dogs like electronic remotes, if they can find them), it's well worth the small amount of extra $. With no manual controls on the unit, you're better off having a spare!

PROGRAM THE CD CHANGER BY RUNNING THE PROGRAM CD IN THE MAIN UNIT BEFORE!!! HOOKING UP THE CHANGER!! TO THE BOSE WAVE........OTHERWISE THEIR MAY BE A MISCOMMUNICATION........AND PROBLEMS MAY FOLLOW......DO THIS.AND YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE AS MUCH AS I DO MINE...........

I have to say that the sound is impeccable, however the noise it makes when changing discs makes me want to send this player back. I just got it, but I am having second thoughts. I bought this player specifically for my son who has autism. I love that it has no buttons and so he can't really break anything or take out the CD. However, the noise of the CD change wakes him up every time ..How disappointing to put so much into the sound of the music and so little into the mechanical aspects. The sound quality is amazing though.

I had purchased the Bose CD changer to work with my Wave Radio. I liked the Wave Radio so well that I wanted to purchase an accessory to work with my radio. What a mistake! To insert a cd into the changer, you have to forcefully push the discs into each slot and hope that the discs come back out of the machine. I had a disc get stuck inside the changer and it took several attempts to eject the disc. The changer is also very noisy and it takes a while to load all of the discs. I ended up sending the changer back to Bose and I got my $250 dollars back. Using the wave radio with its single slot cd player is much easier because the cd player automatically pulls the disc in once you insert it partially into the player. It will also eject the disc very smoothly without any problems. In the future, I will just play some MP3 discs in my wave radio, or use my Ipod and hook it up. With MP3s, you almost dont need to purchase a cd changer and the wave radio comes with an MP3 player hook up on the back of the unit. You can also use your computer to burn MP3s to a cd and play it in the Wave Radio. I would not recommend the cd changer, but if Bose were to design it differently where the discs are pulled in automatically or something where you don't have to force the cds in, then maybe I would recommend the disc changer.

I've been looking at the Bose music system for years, but kept putting it off. For one thing, I was suspicious about the sound quality out of a tabletop radio. But the Bose ads are right -- it's terrific. You can actually feel the bass reverb. And the unit has a tiny footprint, too, which is great in an apartment.

In addition, my 19-inch HDTV has always had an inadequate volume level -- even turned all the way up, street noise would drown out the TV. I've been able to plug the audio from the TV into the aux jack on the back of the CD changer -- so now my TV has great sound, too! (Hint: If you don't want this project to cost you an arm and a leg for a digital-to-analog audio converter box, get a Y cable with a miniplug on one end and dual RCA cables on the other, and run the audio out from your TV's headphone jack.)
