4.0 out of 5 stars Order the extra remote!
My sister and I purchased this for our father for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. One issue I have with it is the COMPLETE lack of manual controls, you are utterly reliant on the remote, and the remote is tiny. I ordered a second remote in the larger size, which is much easier for my parents to read without searching for the reading glasses. But the unit sounds...

But the unit sounds like a dream and has worked just perfectly. So, order the extra remote, best to have one on hand just in case you lose one or the dog eats one (yeah, our dogs like electronic remotes, if they can find them), it's well worth the small amount of extra $. With no manual controls on the unit, you're better off having a spare!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the best system out there, March 15, 2007

I have to say that the sound is impeccable, however the noise it makes when changing discs makes me want to send this player back. I just got it, but I am having second thoughts. I bought this player specifically for my son who has autism. I love that it has no buttons and so he can't really break anything or take out the CD. However, the noise of the CD change wakes him up every time ..How disappointing to put so much into the sound of the music and so little into the mechanical aspects. The sound quality is amazing though.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money ($250.00), December 26, 2007

I had purchased the Bose CD changer to work with my Wave Radio. I liked the Wave Radio so well that I wanted to purchase an accessory to work with my radio. What a mistake! To insert a cd into the changer, you have to forcefully push the discs into each slot and hope that the discs come back out of the machine. I had a disc get stuck inside the changer and it took several attempts to eject the disc. The changer is also very noisy and it takes a while to load all of the discs. I ended up sending the changer back to Bose and I got my $250 dollars back. Using the wave radio with its single slot cd player is much easier because the cd player automatically pulls the disc in once you insert it partially into the player. It will also eject the disc very smoothly without any problems. In the future, I will just play some MP3 discs in my wave radio, or use my Ipod and hook it up. With MP3s, you almost dont need to purchase a cd changer and the wave radio comes with an MP3 player hook up on the back of the unit. You can also use your computer to burn MP3s to a cd and play it in the Wave Radio. I would not recommend the cd changer, but if Bose were to design it differently where the discs are pulled in automatically or something where you don't have to force the cds in, then maybe I would recommend the disc changer.

The Bose Wave system has great sound, but too much mechanical noise when switching cd's - I'm returning it for this reason.

My fiance and I received this item as a gift. We already own the Wave music system. As always the sound from Bose is exceptional. However, we are very dissapointed with the mechanical noise made by the cd changer. It also has trouble sometimes when trying to read MP3 or WMA cd's. Disappointing considering the cost of the item.

1.0 out of 5 stars CD sticks in slot #2 and disables the entire CD function of the 2 combined units, December 30, 2009
This review is from: Bose® Wave® music system multi-CD changer, Graphite Gray (Electronics)
Less than 2 years after buying this through QVC the cd in slot 2 is stuck, will not eject and has disabled the cd play function for the 2-piece system. Bose says to send it in for repair for $90 ($75 plus shipping and tax). That's more than 30% of the purchase price!! We hardly used this system except for Christmas music and now it is just a large, EXPENSIVE, paperweight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent accessory for Bose Wave cd player, March 7, 2007

I bought this item to accessorize my Bose Wave II cd player and just love it's fascinating design. The multi-cd changer acts as the pedestal for the Wave II player. Yes, it is rather noisy when changing discs but sound quality is excellent and it does not take up extra space. Even the disgruntled reviewers need to give Bose the credit for the ultra-modern design which does not clutter up your entertainment. Thumbs up for another great Bose product!

2.0 out of 5 stars No shuffle between disks, December 17, 2006
This review is from: Bose® Wave® music system multi-CD changer, Graphite Gray (Electronics)
I will be returning my CD changer (while keeping the wave music system)

The reason is that it does not have the capability to shuffle between disks. i.e. It will randomly play songs within one disk and then move to the next disk. It cannot play a song on one disk and then randomly switch to another disk.

BTW, the reason these systems are expensive is that they are made in the USA. A great reason to buy BOSE.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work!!!, June 22, 2009
This review is from: Bose® Wave® music system multi-CD changer, Graphite Gray (Electronics)
I bought both the basic 1-cd unit and the optional 3-cd unit. Discs kept getting stuck in the optional unit requiring re-loading the software to get those out. After 10 to 15 times of this waste of time and source of frustration, I put the thing in a drawer where it still is.

This product has proven to be a complete waste of $250!!

Rotation of discs stopped after 3 years of limited use. Now a disc is stuck in one of the slots, and nothing works. Piece of junk. However, note that the main unit works fine with great sound.
