Brankovic weaves a tight & surreal narrative about trying to survive in Bosnia during the current warfare. He brings a gay sensibility & a sense of possible salvation through his quite real, harrowing, apocalyptic story. An incredibly stunning book that will make you seriously think.

I love this novel. Maybe it is because it is on Bosnia and Sarajevo. Maybe as a work of art it is not great, but I cosider it so because it brings memories in my mind... On a literary level, it makes an interesting mixture of fiction and faction, it mixes magical realism with hyperrealism.
