I have two of these monitors installed in my 03 Expedition and let me tell you, they are worth every penny I paid for them. You can see them clearly from any position in the rear of the vehicle and there is flexibility with the three inputs that are offered. The third input is on the front of the monitor, but Boss provides you with a cable so there will not be any extra incurred costs. One problem that I did find was that everywhere I looked, the only dimensions provided were for the box that is shipped and not of the actual monitor, so I am putting it in my review because I feel that is extremely valuable information for someone who will be installing these. The bezel size is 7.8" x 5.35" x 1.16", the actual monitor size is 6.06" x 3.39". I hope this little bit of information will be helpful to you. Another piece of advice would be to add a video amplifer if you are adding multiple monitors, it isn't a big problem, it would just help with the brightness, which happens to be plenty bright. I am giving this five stars and it has earned every one of them. The dual channel ir is an extremely useful feature and you can use it with any aftermarket or factory wireless headphones. I used my factory ford headphones with no problem once so ever. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone on the fence because of the name brand or price, it is truly worth it. I was worried about the longetivity of the monitor until I read other reviews stating how long they have lasted for them, I will post an update to inform you of how long these last, but I have a feeling it will be a long time from now.

First of all, the price is great! I have an in-dash dvd player with dual source; I can listen to music while the kids play games or watch dvd's in the rear. I needed two mountable monitors that had IR for headphones, left AND right channel inputs, and were small enough to fit. All of the local store were very expensive. I purchased a pair from an online store and lost 50.00 because I had to pay a restocking fee and shipping that was free. These units are visible at all angles in the rear seat. They have a very good picture. You will not be disappointed if you purchase these monitors.

It's not an easy thing to cut into your new vehicle headrests, but with a significant amount of work, the result is great. Much more attractive than cheap strap-on screens with cords hanging everywhere. Also, probably not as much temptation for theft since it's thoroughly embedded. Installed two monitors with two DVD players (also from BOSS). Perfect for two kids in the back seat. With dual channels and wiring included, they can watch separate videos or tune in to the other's player. Only problem was the two players and two monitors took so much power a direct connection to the fuse panel (40 watts) was required.

The Good and the Bad,
This review is from: Boss BV7HIR 7" Widescreen Headrest TFT Monitor (Electronics)
I recieved 2 of these products today along with Boss Audio's Video Amplifier. After a few minutes of reading the instruction manual it became clear that the manual is not written clearly. The contents list states that there are a couple extra parts included which are not with my two products. Parts such as trim and other misc. pieces. I called the Boss Audio service number and got a machine which led me eventually to a Technical Rep hold line. I was on hold for over 30 minutes at ask about the missing pieces listed in the contents list. No one picked up so I hung up and proceed to install the monitors with my own knowledge and experience. These monitors are being installed in my wifes Hummer H3 for a cross-country ride with two 15 month old twins. I plan to run these screens off of her Pioneer Touch Screen DVD player so we can control the DVD up front and run the audio through the car speakers. I did just finish installing one screen into one of the headrests. The product seems to be of some decent quality. Although I haven't physically seen what the video quality is like. I will post a few pictures above. Just be aware that "You Get What You Pay For" follows suit here.
