I purchased it last month, and had installed immediately. I have not upgraded my factory speakers, but the increase in sound quality was immediately noticible. The touch screen has the appropriate sensativity in my opinion. The quality of the dvd picture is EXCELLENT. Looks no different than a smaller version of my 50 inch Samsung Plasma. Tom Tom plugs easily into the port and displays perfectly. Has a hook up for a rear back up camera, that can be activated by a simple touch of the screen. Cd player works excellently. Plays multimedia, so hook up any device you can think of, and dj from the passenger seat. Those who are intending to purchase must realize the the screen flips upward. Be cautious of what it may block in the process. If you have vents above your deck area, I would advise you to choose another radio. I bought it for a 2001 Dodge Conversion Van, and the only issue I have is the gearshift, which I must pull toward myself, to allow the screen to go up without being blocked. DVD player has a block that does not allow it to play while car is in gear, but I hear that there is a way around it (wink wink), but try not to allow it to distract the driver. I also purchased a 20 inch Fold down Pyle TV, which is connected to my radio, so I can show the dvd's there, and fold down the screen in the front so the driver is not disturbed. I hope this review is helpful to you all, and I wish you all a happy, fruitful, and blessed New Year. Godspeed.

After installing this in-dash I am more than pleased with it's performance! It would have gotten 5 star's but navigation is a bit complicated. Once you figure it out then it's no problem, The screen looks amazing and it really surprised me how easy it installed. In order to do a clean install you will need the Install-kit, wire harness, and Antenna adapter. I bought all of what I needed on Amazon for cheep!

I can not recommend this product!
I bought this receiver in December 2009 and had it professionally installed. Within 3 month however it wouldn't work any longer. I contacted Amazon and they referred me to the manufacturer because the return window had already closed. It took me over a month to finally get a return authorization code that I had to have to return the receiver for repair. I got the money order they needed to pay for the shipping costs from their end, shipped it out on my own costs, and, got it back yesterday (after 3 weeks), with the note that no defect was found. So, I went back to get it reinstalled, and, guess what, still not working. It receives power but that's it. By now I had the costs of the product (plus s&h) and an extra $50.- for the costs to get it repaired, and still no working product. The manufacturer's guaranty that Amazon refers to obviously is not worth anything, as you have to pay all the s&h, which can get very expensive. So now I am stuck with having paid over $300.- for a receiver that only worked for 3 month, and will have to buy another receiver (which I will NOT buy through Amazon because of their disastrous return policy).

It sucks !!!!The touch feature stoped working after 1 week and it froze every day. The fuses go out at least every 2 weeks. I returned it and got a replacement but it is cheap. Don't spend you money on it invest on a better brand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor System,

I bought this to replace the stock system in my car. I spend $130 to have a professional installer to setup the system. The sound was so poor that I can't stand for a minute. Now I have to paid the same installer to remove it and send it back.
First of all, the material is very cheap. You can tell by just holding in you hand and you can feel the built was not solid. There are slit on the screen that you can see the light creep out when it is dark inside. It is cheap, OK. I can accept the fact. However, the navigating the system is not making sense, very poor design. Tunning the radio is painstaking. OK. I can take that a well. The sound is the most disappointed. You seems like you are listening to music from a mono speaker. The sound is muddy, the seperating of music from each speaker is not notable. It sound like a music coming from one speaker. Compare to my cheap Stock system, it is night and day. Do not buy this system, the cheap price does not do justice. Why do you want something that don't sound good in the first place. Keep whatever you already have, whatever you have will sound better than this system. Or buy other system. Don't let the cheap price fool you.

I bought this receiver as a Christmas present for myself. I read all the reviews and was impressed. Also, I got a really, really excellent price on this receiver from Amazon, much lower than anywhere else.
I bench tested the deck first, before installing it in my van and was very pleased, before and after. I did notice the winding sound in the mechanism when you first turn it on, which doesn't bother me. I think of it as running through it's checks and balances. I quickly goes away after a few seconds. Compared to other receivers I have in my other vehicles, by this this my best deck. And, for the price, it out performs much more expensive systems.

This is an amazing procduct. We bought it for our son for Christmas after our mifddle son bought one for his truck. His was very easy to install at home. Our youngest son owns a Chevy truck, so he had to go to Best Buy & buy another product for $150 & had to let them install it all. After installation, the product works great & has an amazing picture. It is wonderful when he helps take his neice & nephew places. I would recommend this product to anyone, just check to see what else you will need before you install it.

I use to work for Boss Audio a few years ago. They're in Oxnard, Ca. Their parent company "Melody (something)" had 3 audio companies, Planet audio, sound storm labs, and Boss audio. All three of them bought from the same supplier in China who sold the same products with different casings. Planet Audio prints that they're made in USA but the only thing we did was screw in the heat sink (cover). These guys suck, I was a repair tech for planet audio and these parts were cheap. The boss is a jerk and all he cares about is making cash.... don't trust this company. If you heard how they spoke about their RMA's you'd feel the same way.
