It's Always Good to Know This Canadian Big Band is Back, July 10, 2000
This review is from: Boss Brass-Brass Is Back (Audio CD)
Trombonist Rob McConnell has assembled his longtime band (more than 10 years). I feel somewhat uncomfortable to rate this CD because I've virtually collected nearly all Band's albums. It's very hard for me to follow the review rules. So let me just suggest you buy this for the pleasant possibility of listening to Connell's arrangement for Horace Silver's "Strolling" and Jerome Jern's "All The Things You Are". But please sit and listen. I assure you a nice trip!

As usual - I agree with my friend Carlos., April 21, 2007
This review is from: Boss Brass-Brass Is Back (Audio CD)
Tight, creative ensemble work, exceptional personnel, and they swing. Suggest you listen over and over for rhythm guys (Guitar!!) bass trombone and some of the superb sounds from Canada; they have more than Diana Krall, believe me. Depth. And they SWING !!
