Looks Great and Sounds Great but will only last for a month...,
This review is from: Boss CH6930 Chaos Series 6" x 9" 3-Way Speaker (Electronics)
I brought mine in early July and well the first speaker busted(the volume and bass was never loud) after about three weeks. So I put my old pioneer in its place. Then about a month after that my other speaker just stop working. I triple checked connections, I rewired everything and it still doesn't work. Boss Audio Speakers are no good. You would come out better paying a little more for a Pioneer than to waste money on these speakers.

I already had a Pioneer radio in my car, I just needed some rear speakers, and these were inexpensive. They were $25.00 plus tax and shipping was free. However when the box got here, I noticed that the box had been previously opened and then forced shut. The bag of screws that comes with this had come open and they were loose, rolling around. But no damage had occurred due to this. I had also noticed, on one of the speakers, that the tweeter insert was loose and would spin, and could fall out, aside from the wires that were holding it connected. I repaired this with hot glue myself. After I rebuilt my back dashboard, and installed my rear window tint, I was ready to start installation. I also noticed that the wiring supplied with these speakers had different connectors than the speakers did. Good thing I had my own connectors. All in all, at the end of the day, I am quite satisfied with the quality of these speakers for the price I paid. I don't turn up the volume VERY loud, so I hope they will last for a while yet.

I bought these 6x9 speakers for my 95 civic. I knew it would not fit but I was going for functionality and not aesthetics. I tore off and threw away the rear carpet cover (too lazy to cut and put back on after installation) and directly placed these speakers into the two small rear speaker holes without screwing them in (couldn't even if I wanted to). I used spray foam insulation to cover around the edges of the speakers on top which seals them in place. I then covered all the holes in the trunk with aluminum tape. It is essential for you to create an enclosed "air tight" trunk compartment for the speakers to work well. The set up is truly ghetto rigged and looks like crap but is true to the character of my old and dented civic. But as stated before...I was going for functionality and these speakers work great! It is NOT a 10" subwoofer but the base coming from these speakers are loud and thumping, and the mids and highs are good as well. For someone on a tight budget but has had it with poor factory sounds, go with this, you won't regret it. If it fits into your rear speaker holes, than great. A step up might be some pioneers. I also have the Boss 6.5 3-way speakers installed as my 2 front speakers and these sound awesome...not bad bass for these front speakers.

the boss speaker doesn't exceed high volume they will rattle if you go pass 180 amps and i think they were rated at 350amps and the recoil also dosen't bring all the sound out clear.might work better in small cars not suv or vans.

I purchased these speakers for a 2002 Grand Am with factory monsoon. Right off the bat, i was told they would not work and were junk, dont belive everything that's online. I purchased mine for 20 dollars and it was the best audio purchase I have ever made. Decent Lows, good mids and highs. The only issue i have had is one of the speakers quit playing bass, but had treble still. Upon inspection, I found that the wire going from the connector spade to the cone was loose. I simply re-soldered and it works amazing!! These sound so good, especially for the money. If you are installing into a grand am with monsoon, it is possible, you have to clip the mids/highs wire on the woofer cone going to the tweeter and wire to the high wires from the ams, then wire up your lows and you got both!
