The wire gauges stated on the package were honest and correct. I purchased two of these to power a single 1000watt amp and it works fine. The quality of the metal material in the power wire is questionable but still gets the job done. Don't bother using the speaker wire, too thin for anything but headphones.

This is the lowest priced amp wire kit available that is actually honest about the size. There are several brands on amazon that falsely sell so called 8 gauge kits but the wire is only 12gauge. Not sure how they get away with that.

Anyways this is a good product. Quality is average. Price is unbelievably low. Boss usually makes decent 'value' products.

Came with everything I needed to install my amp plus an excellent price.

Can't be beat.

I'm and audiophile and I have set up many car audio systems in the past. I understand what it takes to make a good stereo, and I know what value there is in the more expensive kits. BUT...

This is an EXCELLENT product for under $10
It won't provide a ton of power, so don't plan on running more than one or two subs with it. The small wires just won't pull enough electricity through.

I bought this for an inexpensive solution to my lack of bass. I don't plan on keeping the car long, but needed to put in a sub. For my one Polk 10'', this kit does the trick.

The kit is easy to setup. It just takes some time to run the wires, but anyone can do it. And the stuff works.
If you're looking for a kit that's affordable, but still gets the job done, look no further.

I have seen 12 gauge wire thicker than this. The zip ties and split loom are good. That's it. I want to give it less than one star.

The Boss kit looks similar to other install kits but is substantially less money. When this arrived I found out how they achieved the 1/2 price standard. The wire in this kit looks like it is the same gauge as the competition but when you look at it's cross section it is really only thin stereo wire with a really thick plastic jacket. A little disappointing but when you look at the fuse holder you'll see it's a blade style with no mounting options and VERY inexpensively made. All in all this kit will work to install an amplifier, however it is a all expense spared kit. In hind sight I would just spend the extra money and get a higher quality kit.

As long as you understand the size and power rating for 10GA wiring this kit is great. Dont expect to push 1000wts through this cable

I bought this off Amazon but through 3rd party seller. I don't recall seeing it on Amazon when I ordered it, which was only a couple weeks ago. Rather strange.

Anyhow, they're selling this now for what? $8? That's about what it's worth. If you're cheap, have a cheap stereo system, a cheap car, a cheap low powered amp (after seeing it, I wouldn't go over 300W with this wiring kit) and a cheap set of subs, then perhaps this is the wiring kit for you. It will match the rest of your gear. I'm not saying it's all that bad, it's just not all that good. It does come with everything as stated, but ALL the wires feel pretty cheap. Especially the RCAs. I didn't feel confident that the quality of the wires would hold up to the long term use I'd be putting them through, so I'll be returning this kit.

I went with a higher quality kit off another website. I've installed it and it's working great. The quality of the product is much better and I have no worries about durability.

Bottom line:
-If you've got low end, low budget, low powered stereo equipment then go with this low end, low budget wiring kit.
-If you have high end stereo equipment, definitely purchase something better.

Tried this for a single small amplifier install. According to my wiring tools, this is not 10 gauge power wire, more like 12 gauge, the included connectors are also thin and rather cheap. Did not use the included RCA cables. There are better kits out there, avoid this one.

Not that great, it included everything you will need for a little set up. Do not get this kit if you're planning to expand your system. Oh and it doesn't include speaker wire. I've bought other kits here in Amazon that do include good quality speakers wire. It's Boss, don't expect too much. The fuse is a joke.

This set wouldn't work for anybody looking to install mono amp for sub woofers, maybe a little 400 watt amp for components.
