Anyone looking for a general history of US racing from the late 40's to about the 80's would do well to have this book. Stroppe was mostly a Ford guy, but he did everything from Mexican road races to Indy to stock cars to desert and stadium dirt races. Along the way he raced with or against almost every name you can think of. A great no-BS history of how we got where we are today.
