My daughter received Penbo as a gift and she absolutely LOVES her! Penbo is soft and fuzzy and responds to touch and voice with blinking eyes, flapping wings, and cooing sounds. She also has a cute little baby in her belly that interacts with the mommy penguin--it'll summon Penbo and interact and play games with her. Penbo is a perfect companion for a little girl to nurture.

Don't overpay to these price gougers. Radio Shack has Penbos for $49 at the store and $47 on line.

A wonderful product, well made, lots of features and very cute. Was my daughter's (age 5) favourite toy for 2 weeks. However, it now sits on the shelf. If you have a child like mine (likes to figure things out and then move on) your money may be better spent elsewhere for something less expensive. However, if your child sticks with toys for awhile, you can't go wrong with Pembo. It's well made, solid, well programmed, and should last for many years.

My daughter loves Penguins. She saw this toy advertisied on TV and was convinced that she needed it. I thought it looked stupid and unentertaining, so I talked to her about the possibility that Santa may not be able to get it. She talked about it non stop for weeks, so finally I looked at parent reviews. Penbo has a lot of good reviews and a lot of people claim that their children actually play with it. The reviews convinced me that I must be wrong, so I bought it. Boy, was I right. My daughter has hardly touched Penbo. She even seemed disappointed in it, because it doesn't do anything. We've been able to get it to play peek-a-boo (sometimes) and sometimes we get it to walk, but it doesn't always do what it's suppossed to. The christmas before I got her a stuffed Penguin for $10 dollars and she treats it like part of the family, but Penbo is sitting on a shelf looking pretty- that's about all it's good for.

My 4.5 year old begged for this toy at Christmas. We got it for her and it held her interest fro a little while, but she has moved onto other things. Too many instructions to follow to make it work properly. Good concept, just too involved!

My 5 year old begged for this last Christmas, and I couldn't bring myself to spend $60 on it. A few weeks after the holidays, I found it on clearance for $15 and got it for her 6th birthday. Initially, she and my 3 year old had a lot of fun with it, but that fun only lasted a day or two. By the end of the week, Penbo was forgotten and hasn't been touched in months. Unless your child really loves interactive toys, I wouldn't recommend this. My girls prefer toys they can cuddle with or use their imagination. Penbo just wasn't a good choice for us.

Penbo came to our house this past Christmas as a gift from Santa. My four year old daughter could not stop talking about Penbo in the two months leading up to Christmas, and she was pretty excited to find it under the tree. Penbo is a cute magenta and white penguin robot that responds to signals from her baby (bebe) penguin that comes in its own egg. By pressing the bebe, it can communicate with Penbo. The little twittering back and forth is cute, and so is how Penbo rocks her bebe on her open tummy. However, after about 2 weeks, the novely of this toy completely wore off. Now Penbo sits on the bookshelf mostly untouched. Maybe this would be a better gift for children who are older, and not in the 4-5 year old age range. To be noted: Penbo does seem exceptionally durable for a robot toy, which this mom of 3 really appreciates! Also, the batteries have lasted a long time with our Penbo.

It's was a Christmas gift for my 5 yr old neice but I doubt she will keep interest in the Penbo for long, not much to do with it.

It takes a little time to figure out everything but my 7 year old had all the neighbors coming to see what Penbo does. This has been advertised on TV for a while but very hard to locate. Amazon was the least expensive.

This is a very sweet toy. It's fun to watch and my kids love it. It's very hard to find, it's deemed to be the top toy this year so I am glad I found mine now. I was at the toy fair when they released it. Wow what a line
