Basicaly if your into the Blues, BUY IT!!! BIG JOE TURNER KICKS BUT, AND IF YOU KNOW T-BONE WALKER, I DONT EVEN HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW GOOD HE IS!! And in here... T-BONE IS ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC!!! His music sounds very modern and GREAT TO LISTEN TO, concidering this album was recorded in August 18, 1969 (Big Joe Turner) and August 19, 1969 (T-Bone Walker). Now if you like the music of Jim Morrison and The Doors, there's a song in here by T-Bone called, "cold cold feelin", Its not the old version, Its a version that includes an organ (JUST LIKE THE DOORS) that makes it sound like Ray Manzerik of The Doors is playing in it!! JUST THAT SONG ALONE IS WORTH THE MONEY!! I BOUGHT 2, INCASE I LOOSE OR SCRATCH ONE!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad Outing For Big Joe Turner & T-Bone Walker, But Not Their Fault, August 3, 2008
This review is from: Bosses of the Blues (Audio CD)
There is no Pete Johnson-like piano playing on this album, and Turner's sound is radically altered from the classic Big Joe Turner mold. T-Bone Walker barely does any solo-ing on his half of the cd. This disc is a failure; plain and simple. Please check out Joe Turner's classic recordings with Pete Johnson and T-Bone Walker's stuff from the '40s and '50s. Avoid this boring disc like the plague. Perhaps the only reasons this disc gets two stars are Turner's great performance on "Plastic Man" and Walker's performance on "Vietnam".
