Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The one stop shop for the finish carpenter. The CPACK100 combo finish kit includes everything you need to do interior finish work, exterior trim, door and window casing, paneling, cabinetry and crafts. The SB-1842BN brad nailer included in this combo pack has a fastener range from 5/8 to 1-5/8 inches. The range is broad enough to handle most of your finish needs. The tool has an adjustable depth control which allows for quick counter sinking adjustments. The 360-degree directional exhaust prevents blowing dirt or debri on your finished surface. The nail window gives you a good view for fastener placement. The comfort grip minimizes hand fatigue and tool slippage. The no mar tip prevents damage to the work surface. This is an outstanding tool to complete your finish work. The CAP1560 oil-less contractor compressor included with the CPACK 200 has a 1.5-horsepower motor, 5.8-gallon tank capacity. This compressor has an output of 3.4-cubic feet per minute at 40-PSI and 2.7-cubic feet per minute at 90-PSI. The compressor can be used to run other pneumatic tools such as a framing nailer, or brad nailer. The wheels on this unit assist in the portability around the work area. The kit includes a 1/4-inch, 25 foot hose, fittings and Teflon tape to hook everything together, instructions in English, Spanish, and French, a carrying case for the SB1664, oil, 1,000 finish nails, a 1 year limited warranty, and Bostitch 100 years of superior service and quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Underestimated, June 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Bostitch CPACK100 1-5/8" Brad Nailer / Compressor Combination Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
After reading all the reviews on several different brad combinations I went with the Stanley Bostich. All the negative complaints such as wheels falling off (an impossibility with the current design) and that jams are hard to clear and time consuming (it takes about 2 seconds to open the magazine and remove the brads). There is only one complaint that was legitimate and that is getting up against the compressor that is hot and getting burnt. This too is almost an impossibility as only a minute portion of the compressor is not shielded by the plastic housing. The only complaint I can see is the noise of the compressor but in real use the compressor takes forever to kick on and doesn't take long to recover. The truth is that the compressor is better built than others and holds the air pressure even after weeks of setting unused. The brad gun is light and easy to use and easy to load...

This review is from: Bostitch CPACK100 1-5/8" Brad Nailer / Compressor Combination Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
It is my first brad nailer/compressor. Pros: - Simple to use, lightweight and sturdy brad nailer. - Side loading makes it very easy to load clips of brads. I tried brads of all sizes from 3/4 in. to 1-5/8in., which all work well. - Depth or countersink adjustment via thumb screw is straightforward. - Useful hard ABS plastic case for the nailer. Cons: - The manuals are just unacceptable. The compressor came with a manual that has only a few pages, but yet in three different languages. The provided information is just totally inadequate. - Ditto with the manual that came with the brad nailer. The manual refers to three different nailers, again using three different languages in a few pages. Amazing how Bostich can put out such useless the manuals! Just hope that your tools would always work and you would never need to use the manuals. - Compressor runs hot and it has inadequate heat shield - I accidentally touched it with the back of my leg. That resulted in a severe two inches burn/blister - Ouch! (It is hot down here in Houston, I have to work in short!)

4.0 out of 5 stars So Far So Good, September 10, 2001
This review is from: Bostitch CPACK100 1-5/8" Brad Nailer / Compressor Combination Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I received my combo last week and used it for about 6 hours so far. I have used the compressor with the brad nailer and a Bostitch angle finish gun. So far it works beautifully. I had a jam in the finish nailer...no problem to clear. The brad nailer has been flawless so far. What I will say is that the directions for the compressor aren't worth the paper they are printed on. If you buy this compressor: The large gauge measures the pressure in the tank, the motor will cut off at 120 psi. The small gauge measures the psi delivered to the tool. Pull up the red cap and adjust the outflow until it meets the psi you need, then push the cap down to lock. To drain or release pressure the valve is on the bottom. The hose and connections are self explanatory.

Overall I'm very happy so far for the price you can't go wrong.
